Liuyishou Hotpot is originally from Szechuan. We heard people form Chongqing, Szechuan love hotpot so much, so they are pretty picky and good at making it.We visit their location in Flushing last weekend for their restaurant week special AYCE offer and it’s overall decent experience. The decor is bright and cozy but with limited seating options, so the wait was bad during the peak.We had their Green Pepper Oil Soup Base & Chicken Soup Base and both broth were flavorful. Most ingredients we got were fresh with good quality and proper portion. Our favorites were the soft & tasty Stir-Fried Pork Intestine and tender Shrimp Paste. The staff was friendly and served everything quickly. There was one complaint about their sauce bar- it’s messy & empty due to the crowd.
Very good but very expensive. Spent $100 for me and my 11 yrs old that doesn't eat that much. The broth should be included in AYCE like other AYCE places I've been too. Kids should be priced by age and not height, they may be tall for their age but not eat like an adult.Overall, service was good and quality was exceptional. The fatty beef was so tender it falls off your chopsticks. Me and my son loved the shrimp paste, that was our favorite. I loved the little cow for the spicy hot pot.
Sanitation. Upset stomach. Yelp check-in gets you a free soda but only 1 per party.Haven’t had hot pot in years and this is still new to me so I can’t base this review on taste. Around $40 per person (before tax/tip) as you have to pay for all you can eat + broths (yes, you have to pay for the soup)But their basic broth was good. Meet selection was mostly beef which was disappointing. Pork was good but chicken was bad. Good seafood variety.Vegetables options were okay but were very leafy. Appetizers are a separate charge. They have a sauce station which was cool as you get to experiment. You get fruit and 2 desserts as well which you can get as much as you want. Water and tea is self serve.Service - average but servers barely spoke English. If you’re Asian, they automatically talk to you in mandarin. At times they missed our order so we had to reorder. They bring a cart with all your food so it doesn’t bombard your table.Vibe - not badYou have 2 hours to eat and can’t leave food behind or you’ll be charged. That night, I had an upset stomach and I don’t know if it’s because food wasn’t clean or because raw food goes in time and time again. That’s the downside of hotpot for me.Will not try again.
Best hot pot in NYC. Biggest variety of selection with the best soup broot for the best eat as you can price. The staff are always friendly and super helpful. This our favorite place for every family occasion.
My boyfriend and I ate here last night. We were both starving, First of all, the beef spicy broth and tomato broth are 10/10. The meat was amazing quality and the portion sizes were huge! I wish they had pumpkin and spinach, but their selection otherwise was great! The wait staff was so kind, they were so understanding, and patient as we were the last table there. They were absolutely the sweetest and we will 100% be coming back! The hotpot experience was good, but the staff made it 100% better.
Excellent experience! Nice servers and great quality meats and soup base. $30 per person + soup base (around $20 for 3 flavors). Spent about $200+tip for 5 people! Definitely coming back.
Love this place! Foods are amazing and service is fantastic! I would recommend their fried pork belly, its crispy and so flavorful. They also have a great variety of foods that you can choose from, meats, seafoods, and veggies. Overall, very good experience!
Love their place a lot. There are a variety of selection of food items all you can eat hotpot menu. The price is fair. Quality of food is high, except certain few items such as spam. Service has always been nice when I went.
Liuyishou Hotpot is my absolute favorite hotpot place to go to. The food is delicious, and plentiful! There is enough to go around for everybody, even if there's only a party of two! The staff is extremely friendly, and if you don't speak English, just be patient, and communicate with your body language - we're all here for a good time, not a long time lolBest hotpot in Flushing, hands down. Thank you for all the good and delicious times ?
This is our go to ? hot pot place in New York, the buffet offers the best quality of meats, house made shrimp, pork, cuttlefish etc balls, fresh seafood, soju, free ice tea and deserts. We here at least 4 times a month, the atmosphere is relaxed and staff is great!!!
