This place is amazing, I cannot say enough great things. This is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had and the experience is everything! From the starters to the desert, I was having such pleasure enjoying the tastes of everything we ordered. If there is something you wanted that is not on the menu, they will make it for you. I can’t wait to come back with my family.
Came here to dinner with a friend. We ordered the soup dumplings, orange beef, chicken with eggplant and the three vegetables in a garlic sauce. Everything was amazing. The soup dumplings were honestly the best I've had. The soup inside the dumplings had such a clean fresh taste. The orange beef taste like a general tso instead of chicken it was beef a little too sweet for me). The vegetable dish was amazing I wish I got an order to take home they were cooked perfectly that the greens were still a bright color and still had a snap texture to it. The service that was provided was very lovely. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's cash only so that's the only downside. However, I definitely will go back and I highly recommend.
Food and service are great. Soup dumplings were good, but not great. Needed more soup and meat was ground a little too fine.
Love coming here! My 6 1/2 year old loves their soup dumplings and udon. Great vegetarian selection too.
Tried a new place this afternoon. Located not far from my old neighborhood in North East Queens. The good. I would have never imaged in my youth that authentic Shanghainese/Taiwanese food would be available in this corner of NYC. The place was clean, staff friendly and food ok. The bad. A bit pricey given that there are better places at better prices not far away. Condiments were missing and when I asked for some sesame oil or vinegar (usually readily available) the waiter was loathe to ask the kitchen. I pushed a bit. Another item that should have been on the table is hot oil. Not there. Room for improvement.
Delicious soup dumplings! Delicious flavor to these dumplings, but I do wish the skin was thinner. The pan fried dumplings were a bit sweet on the filling which was odd. Everything else we ordered was very good. Something I always gave to try at restaurants is fried calamari and this one did not disappoint. The squid looked spongelike with extra cuts that made the fry crispier - I have not seen this done before! The stir fried rice cakes were kind of chewy almost as if they have not been pre-soaked long enough. Pea shoots were okay, it did have some tough parts that haven’t been removed during prep. Overall, an okay meal, just not my favorite Shanghainese restaurant.
We got great service and did not have to wait long for our party of 6. The soup dumplings were not as juicy as I ve had before...the fried spicy chicken..spicy fish fillets and the string beans were on point. The granny's pork belly was ok....all in all.. a nice nite out and a full belly!
Love the food great hospitality! I’ve only ever taken out but I am excited to eat inside in the future. I love this place so much I drive 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back to my home. Soup Dumplings are to DIE for however need to be eaten as soon as possible - Sometimes I eat them in my car before my drive home :)) The fresher they are the better. I stick with the soup dumplings but change my entree every time i go. Most recently tried and LOVED the beef & broccoli. I’d recommend to anybody looking for a bite to eat!
My first time trying soup dumplings was at this place and ever since then its'e become one of my favorite foods. I've tried a lot of the dishes and food is delicious every time we go here. Food is great and the service is always really good. Highly recommend.
ordered Braise Pork Rice(卤肉饭), I wish they would have gave me either more source or less rice. Too little source to have it mixed fully with the rice. When you taste it, you only feel like eating a bowl of white rice only. So disappointed on this order.
