I love this little outdoor café right off of Vernon Blvd in Hunters Point LIC. There’s only a counter to order from and outdoor sidewalk and street-built covered seating (thanks, COVID), so there’s no indoor seating or access to a bathroom unfortunately, but it’s still a quaint little café that serves up small bites, baked goods, coffee, juices, and smoothies. I usually order a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin and a large iced coffee and a little bit of mango habañero sauce on the side to spice it up a bit. Delicious. They have dog treats on the counter where you order from, which my little pup has come to look forward to (as do all the neighborhood dogs apparently as I watch them pull up to the counter lol). I would definitely recommend stopping by here to take a break from the day, sit in the shade, and enjoy a small bite and beverage.
If you’re at Hunters Point working really hard and need a hearty lunch, this place is it. I took a break from studying and found this humble food stand and saw that they had adobo rice bowls and I had to try.Y’all, this was fire. I savored every second of this meal and I really appreciated the vibrant flavors this dish had to offer. The pulled pork was so juicy, and the pickles added the perfect amount of acidity to the fatty pork. I requested some hot sauce and they provided mango habanero, which provided just the right amount of heat that I was craving. It’s so hard finding good Filipino places in New York City, let alone in Long Island City, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. You will certainly catch me eating back here again!
From a customer stand point, the blockade of the front window with the sandwich boards makes it difficult to see the pastries being offered. It would be nice if they could remove these to allow customers to get closer and see the offerings. I understand if they still want to take Covid precautions at the payment counter, but it would feel more inviting and personal if you could see the pastries through the windows before ordering.
Cute tiny take-out for coffee and assorted nibbles. Outside take-out counter only, safety (pandemic) screen at order window. Outdoor cafe seating. I don't come by this area often, usually from the other direction on Vernon Blvd., But conveniently just across the street. I ran by 10 minutes before closing and got a perfect coffee quickly. Very friendly staff too! Now I wish I had come by before; it is about a quarter block down 48 Ave. off of Vernon Blvd. Easy to miss, just look for the take-out counter. Thanks for a much needed, tasty coffee. Update: have come by a few times now to try their various, tempting baked goods of the day which are visible in their display window. Their baked goods are stunningly delicious and fresh flavors! When I can't decide, the friendly and well-informed staff are happy to make suggestions. Thank you, Little Chef Little Cafe!
Cute little cafe with fresh, high quality, healthy food options ranging from muffins to rice bowls. Nice outdoor seating and excellent staff to cater to your needs. Speaking of cater, they also cater all types of events, big and small!Diana and her team are awesome!
One of my favorite local cafes! In addition to great coffee and delicious food, the people here have HEART! A true member of the community, they support other local businesses -- including local Girl Scout troops and food relief/distribution services. And they love dogs! A winning combination!
I've been a long time customer of her meal prep business and am never disappointed. Staff is always friendly, food always delicious and it feels like family. Def stop in for coffee or a bite to eat.
So delicious and wonderful. I highly highly recommend this gem of a cafe in LIC. Fresh, healthy, and absolutely perfect- and the customer service is top notch. Catering department exceeded all expectations.
We got the adobo pork waffle sandwich and it was a big letdown. The whole thing was weirdly flavorless? No adobo flavor on the pork, no flavor at all really. Even the maple syrup it came with was somehow flavorless
Most favorite coffee place in the neighborhood! There is nothing better than to find a place that is pet friendly, loves your dog and served amazing food and coffee. Staff is super friendly, and always remember your order! The lattes are delicious, the coffee is perfectly roasted. The toasts, waffles, muffins, chicken adobo and chicken salad wonderful too!If I could give 5* stars I would!
