A staple of Corona queens the classic italian sub is amazing and the salame is superb
It was a nice day so I went for a walk for my lunch break. After about a mile I ended up here and figured I should pick up lunch and head back. I got the mama’s special. Worth every step, I’ll be making the trip again.
This landmark eatery in Corona has the best sandwiches around especially the Fresh Turkey on Thursdays with mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and tasty gravy. They make a great Italian hero with balsamic vinegar and roasted peppers. Close to Citi field and they also own a bakery with a courtyard to eat all the delicious foods these two places make.
A fantastic place. Was greeted by Irene, one of the members of the family that started the business decades ago. Had the signature Mama's Special and it was wonderful. Stopped at the bakery too and picked up some cookies. Also wonderful!
Ordered a chicken Parm with extra fresh mutz on a hero. Also got the chicken in creme Alfredo which is a Tuesday special. Will have to come back for a ball of mutz one day. Maybe on a fish Friday.
Mama's is still the best!! A neighborhood gem!
What a waste of $10 first of all ladies behind the counter 1 had a mask on and the other one no mask.Then 6 customers no mask 1 customer and myself was masked. Ordered special lunch chicken parmigiana OMG dry as dry they must have made it 8 hours ago cheese was not gooey at all it was hard like a slice of cold cheese and the sauce was soaked into the breading not moist at all. Can get much better at a pizzeria.Threw it in the garbage ? Don’t understand how people rave about subpar food definitely will not return
A wonderful place. The sandwiches and other items are high quality and always delicious and a visit with the fine people that own and run this place just makes everything better. They no longer than outpost at CitiField, so you have to venture a few blocks west and visit the store. Well worth the trip!
Great authentic Italian foods, meats and bakery. All homemade and fresh. Mama is very nice hostess.
