Dirty rooms- bath tub sink he missing, sink leaking , staff unhelp. Breakfast rest- flies, fruit rotten, milk gone off, expensive Main rest.expensive, dirty and flies No safe in hotel and in any of the othe rooms not working Far from from seeing places. Transport network poor Only drop you off at subway, no return transport. Staff don't communicate with other staff when shift changes. Messages not passed on Breakfast menu- buffet choice expensive and limited. Main restaurant- utensils that is plates forks spoons dirty. Staff unfriendly Hotel expensive for what it offers. Big difference in rooms. Had to move rooms twice as showers not working sometimes only cold water or hot - inconsistent Different .members of staff give you wrong information. There is a tour guide booth and been manned occasionally- expensive and not worth the hassle. Try to organise yourself and less expensive and convenient.
Choose this hotel due to its proximity to where we had work obligation and opportunity to go into Manhattan. The website states it has a free shuttle to and from the airport as well as to the subway station. You will need to call from the airport to be picked up and need to know which terminal you are at, not the airline you are flying in on. The shuttle takes about 20-30 minutes to pick you up. It does provide shuttle to the airport starting at 0400 in the morning every 20 minutes. As far the shuttle to the subway station, every time we asked, we got a different excuse as to why they couldn't provide one. The bus station was only a short walk and was what we did instead. Now lets get to the room. Our room was DIRTY. The bathroom had black hair everywhere. Even on the ceiling. Nether on of us have black hair. To get hot water in the bathroom, you had to place the faucet on hot and then let the water run for about 7 minutes on both the shower and sink. The air conditioner was broken (luckily it was broken in the on position) It never turned off and the room was freezing. Had to ask for a blanket. There was a panel on the wall that was hanging off and would not go back on. Housekeeping is no longer provided on a daily basis and we were there for 6 days. We asked several times for towels. Towels were never delivered. Had to take them off a cart in the hall after the 3rd day. The battery cover to the remote was broken and kept falling off causing the batteries to fall out frequently. There's no little store on site to get a drink or snack and the bar or restaurant stopped taking food orders after 1030 pm and drink orders after 1045 pm, so if you are returning late in the evening you need to have it from off site. Staff at the front desk all gave different answers to same question or were rude with their responses as if they were being bothered.We travel often for work and pleasure and rarely would I give a bad review. If it had been on bad thing, I wouldn't have, but there were just so many "little" things and a few "big" things that I felt like I needed to review. We would not stay there again.

We choose La Guardia Plaza to stay for our short vacation, convenient location, nice staff from the shuttle driver to the guys at the restaurant, the only black spot was that after staying 4 nights not a single time a housekeeper came to clean the room or stock toilet paper, or clean towel, even I request it 3 times, I understand that due to a covid situation but at least remove the garbage, I had to do it myself… other than that everything else was ok.
The shuttle runs every 20 min which was great, the check in was fast and easy, restaurant has a lot of food options and was decent now for the room. Beds are a 4 out of 10 (they make noise every time you move), the pillows are firm, the shower does not drain, the air conditioner only runs at 65° anything about that it switches to heat, only 2 towels for a room with 2 double beds, no bath soap, they do give you a dispenser in the shower with shampoo and conditioner. Room was clean though. Cheap considering the other options and close to the airport
The rooms are somewhat updated, and the neighborhood is great. Both times we ventured out we felt very safe. The amenities (pool and fitness center) are closed for maintenance, but the service from the front desk more than made up for that. Would stay again if we had a layover!
Great location for an early flight and really big rooms and bathrooms. The restaurant was friendly and food was good. Air-conditioning wasn't working in our room, but they sent someone to fix it right away. I gave it 4 stars because it was fancy when it was built (1970's?) but it is getting a bit rundown now.
Was able to check in early, but that was about it for the positives of this hotel. Beds very squeaky, A/C was not the best. Furniture in the room looked very old, and broken. Outlet cover was not secured and had to get it set in the right spot, just for the TV to turn on. Flight canceled, so checked to see what another night would cost. They wanted $460 for another night. Had pass for that price. Went to the bar/resturant to get some good and drinks, only to have the bartender completely ignore us. Looked right at us, saw we were looking her way, and walked the other way. Be weary of this place!!
The rooms have fresh interior finishes and bathrooms, but some of the furniture is obviously left over from pre-renovation times (like the CD player alarm clock). Service was generally friendly and effective - Shawn H. was a standout, extremely good at what he does. I'm a former architect and think the hotel's bones are terrific - the building must have cut quite a stylish figure in the late 80's when it first opened. It's still the best-designed hotel structure near LGA...however the exterior environment and public spaces could really use a refresher - at times I felt like I was in a late 90's luxury hotel in China.
