When I first entered the shop I wasn’t really impressed I thought the dessert were just going to be ok, but I was wrong. If you are looking to try traditional Cantonese dessert like Sesame paste and Papaya Snow Fungus Soup this is the place.

Very beautiful, friendly and clean restaurant. I love their crepes and waffles ❤️

Food here is like any other Kulu but the problem is that the location is placed in between two other better desert shops, Spot and Prince Tea Cafe and they easily outmatch this shop.

Omg I’ve almost tried everything!! And all that I’ve tried has been amazing!!!

I like it . No too sweet

It was really good. The pudding balanced out the sweetness of the waffle and ice cream.

Came here for dessert on a Saturday evening and it was great! Wide selection of HK-inspired desserts to choose from at a relatively affordable price. We got the Ube Ube (ube ice cream with egg waffle and other toppings) and the mango pomelo (mango soup with bubbles and mango and grapefruit chunks). The ube ube was definitely my favorite of the two, every part of it was delicious. I felt like the mango pomelo was a little underwhelming, especially since it’s one of the more popular orders from what I understand, but I guess its complexity pales in comparison to the ube ube so I won’t hold it against that. It was not too sweet and the mango chunks were delicious. Service was fine. Location is easy to get to via public transportation, would not recommend driving here unless you park a few blocks away (prince street is a nightmare). Plenty of seating on the first and second floor, at the time we came it wasn’t crowded at all. There was a unisex bathroom but I didn’t use it, so I can’t comment on cleanliness. Overall, would love to come back here and try more from Kulu!!

Generous portions, everything made to order, very clean w good price point.

The best dessert:

!Read below for study/date/hangout parts!I noticed that Kulu now has dine-in options like they used to, which is great. Ive been coming here for years. Its a wonderful casual dessert place where you order, pick up food, and find a place to sit. So its great for dates when you want to get to know the person, long discussions, or relaxing with friends. Its a small area, about 6-8 seats on the 1st floor and a good amount of tables on the 2nd. Their music isnt loud so feel free to grab a seat and study for a while. There are no single seats though. You dispose your trays on little racks found on the 2nd floor.I really recommend the mango pomelo for a smooth, creamy dessert with chunks of mango and little sago bubbles. Sometimes the mango chunks can be sour, but its usually when the mangoes arent in season, so we cant blame kulu too much. If you want to upgrade it with ice cream and squishy rice balls, they’re tasteless but its more for people who like the texture. Speaking of their ice creams, its sooo creamy and delicious. I dont know if they make it themselves but you definitely wont be able to find it in a supermarket. The taste is amazing too. Especially vanilla. It tastes like ✨VÁNÍLŁí✨ Their waffles + ice cream on top are soft too, just wish there was a bit more add-ons.One thing i wouldnt recommend is the pudding. Ive tried thai and matcha, and its AIIIGHHT like its not bad bad but it wasnt enjoyable either so i wouldnt buy it again. I really tried to like it though. The cups they come in are very cute so if you want to get it as a gift go ahead. However i do recommend this place as a whole and im grateful for this chill/cozy asian dessert area in flushing.————— Too Long? Read This! —————Or go to my page for perfect spots that fits every category a couple could look for!- Studying: Its okay if you can find a spot. Stay as long as you’d like. However i dont think there are any outlets or single seat tables, so unless you’re studying in a group, this place could be alright- Dating: A chill place to talk and get a simple dessert after a meal. The food comes quick, but you wont be rushed out. The decor is alright, so if you’re looking for something extra cute, check out my page for a list of options!- Hangout: Perfect! The tables are spaced out very nicely so you’re not isolated but you also have some personal space and can hear the other person speak. If you’re a large group, their tables are pretty big and there’s a section where a bench is connected to a wall so if you can squeeze in, then great. Try to keep it under 8 people though!
