Just no. Though the young man working behind the counter, serving the selections, was wonderful and helpful, the woman in the pink shirt today, Father's Day 6.19.22, was a representation of what guest services should not be. She complained that her line was long, even though most people, on that line, were there to buy food and support her business. She also complained, in front of customers which directly targeted my group, about how customers starts ordering additional items once theyre in front of the register, which results in her team being bombarded and a longer line. In our defense, there was no menu listing of what is being offered and some items are hidden behind the glass, close to the register. She really should step back and be grateful. Regardless how tasty your food maybe, if your service is like this, you will no longer have customers. She can complain about that.
Great venue for parties! Medium space, semi-modern and chic vibe, great staff!
I am white married to a fillapina 20+ years not a big fan of filapin food's but I couldn't taste anything here that wasn't to my liking everything was excellent ?
Don't buy from here. Too many places to buy your Filipino needs. Last night we bought items, including a bag of Ube CHEESE pan de sol.The only reason i bought it was because it has cheese ? And we opened this morning for breakfast to eat. We went through 3 or 4 and NONE has cheese. So i called because that bag is almost $8! She tried to tell me that they are not supposed to have cheese? There is literally a STICKER taped on the bag that days UBE CHEESE PAN DE SOL. ????? The bag was not labeled that way and there were no clear signs that said it was just bread. ?♀️ What a waste of time and money. Pure disappointment.
All Filipino food here taste good! Typical turo turo (means point what food you want) in Queens!Location: It is located in Woodside. It is mainly a grocery store but at the side they sell ready to eat meals!Service: you have to point what you want and they will wrap it and you pay in the cashier. They are nice as well.Food: Everything is good here but my favorites are: SISIG: this is the best! So tangy and mild spicy. The pork is well cooked and seasoned. PORK BBQ: it is on a stick, the meat is tender and charred to goodness. DINUGUAN: pork blood and pork! It is soo good, you will get more rice! OKOY: shrimp and sweet potato combined and fried. CALDERETA: the sauce is the best, the beef is tender. ADOBO: afcourse this is staple filipino food, the saltiness of the soy sauce combined with the pork or chicken makes you want to get more rice. GINATAANG LANGKA: this is seasonal, but if I see it I get it, its langka cooked in coconut milk with chili and shrimp!Price rating: 8/10, thats the only thing, they rise their prize a lot.Definitely will come back here because I love Filipino food! Get the sisig!!
Their kare-kare and bangus sisig are amazing ⭐️ Also a must-try is their avocado shake. Serving portions can usually feed 2 people. Their rice is well-cooked, neither dry nor soggy. Friendly staff and clean dining area! Kudos to everyone at Kabayan!
We got the sisig, bulagon, lechon, and bicol express. All were pretty good. I would come back. We were actually going to go somewhere else... And happen to pass by this place that probably opened up recently because I've never seen it before since I often go across the street to another Filipino restaurant... But I would recommend trying it out. It's also pretty spacious inside and has a cute spot for IG pics.
