We weren’t even hungry when we stopped in on a Saturday at around 2:30 pm. We just happened to be in the area and I’ve been wanting to try this for a while, so we decided to pop in. There were a lot of people ordering food for takeout the whole time we were there, even at such a weird meal hour. That’s gotta be saying something. Orders take about 15 minutes so I’d recommend ordering ahead if you can.If we hadn’t eaten lunch two hours ago, my husband and I would have ordered a lot more. Instead, we shared the Joju fries (JoJu’s banh mi inspired fries, topped with spicy mayo, spicy green sauce, pickled daikon & carrots, and fresh cilantro) and the JoJu banh mi (classic Vietnamese ham, headcheese, pâté spread & BBQ Pork). The fries themselves were amazing. It’s coated in batter (?) and double fried, which is the type of fries I like because the batter makes it extra crispy and flavorful. However, all the toppings on top of eating a banh mi was a bit too much. If I was just eating the fries, I would probably add meat + a runny egg. But eating it with a banh mi, I would have preferred the fries plain (with a side of their spicy green sauce, which is crack. Also appreciate that they don’t charge extra for dipping sauces). The banh mi could be one of the better banh mis I’ve had in my life. It’s stuffed with ingredients and I don’t just mean they’ve filled it with veggies. They are super generous with the meat. The bread is also toasted perfectly. For drinks, I had the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was perfect. Not too sweet and not too bitter. It was the perfect pick me up. Husband had the taro milkshake with tapioca, which was too sweet for me but he liked it. I’m not sure when I’ll be back since this location is far from me but I’m looking forward to trying their more conveniently located Midtown location. There are still so many menu items I need to eat/drink!

the seitan could have been more flavorful but love the egg add on and sauce options
+ Consistently tasty food here! Love love the kimchi fries! Banh mi is packed with stuff- It is a bit pricey. Also, the bread of the banh mi is too thick and not crispy.
My favorite Banh Mi shop. Whenever I go I always get a caramel pork with a runny egg and some Joju fries. My fiance doesn't eat pork so he usually gets the lemongrass chicken, and my mother loves the beef bulgogi. Honestly you can't miss with any of the flavors. Be mindful if you're salt sensitive.
I love Joju! I usually get the hot chick sandwich, and paired with the kimchi fries it’s an amazing combination
I’ve been eating here for years, and I absolutely love their banh mi (I always get lemongrass chicken). There’s something special about the bread that isn’t dry and tasteless like lots of other places. I’ve brought a ton of friends here and they all agree that Joju has the best banh mis! Their Viet iced coffee is pretty good, and the kimchi fries are fun (but can be too mushy at times. I only get them once in a while).
Joju is my old reliable for delicious bahn mi sandwiches. My favorite is the spicy bulgogi bomb me w/ runny egg. I took my wife and son there for a late lunch. We picked up 4 #11 bulgogi bomb me sandwiches ( 2 spicy, 2 mild ) and several orders of their regular French fries which is 100 Xs better than any fries you can get at any fast food burger joint!.We usually get the kimchi fries which have a mountain of yummy kimchi, carrots, jalapeños and spicy mayo. We devoured our sandwiches in a nearby park b/c due to COVID there is no longer an option to dine in. I would have given 5 stars ( as I've done in the past ) but took one off b/c the sandwiches were noticeably smaller. I get it that restaurants are trying to recoup all the business that they lost during the pandemic but raising price is one thing but to also cut back on the food that is no bueno?
it’s super busy in the afternoon so orders can take up to an hour to get ready :(( there was a petite girl with blue hair who helped me figure out what to order and was really patient with me! unfortunately when i was waiting for my order there was a customer who had found a roach in their ice cube so becareful with ordering the drinks
Fast and friendly takeout service. Classic banh mi definitely hit. I would go back to try everything else.
