I always get takeout here and the food is consistently good. But I went in the morning at 9am to buy Breakfast and they were serving lunch. ZERO BREAKFAST. So I didn't have a good experience this day. I was mad too because I drove past several restaurants to get to them and they had ZERO breakfast food at 9am.Be warned, the lines here is out the door 12pm - 5pm so if you are in a rush this is not the place to go. Lots of patience required.
1st thing to know before going, it’s ALWAYS crowded & no parking…staff is always rushing customers, if you’re a 1st time visitor, you barely get to check out the food before someone starts yelling at you to order. I usually get the shrimp and pasta, but this trip the pasta was very different, it was watery and tasteless. As if they washed out one of those Ravi sauce bottles(that I use at home) to make the Alfredo sauce. The food is not very consistent and that’s something they need to work on.
If I can give them 10 stars I would. The service and food is beyond exceptional. I bought porridge and jerk chicken meal. Both were delectable and so Damm good.
This Jamaican Flavors is the best one hands down!! The service is courteous, friendly and fast. The food was super delicious and mouthwatering ?. All prices are reasonable. They also have a great selection of desserts as well. Definitely recommend if you've never been here.
They only reason I am giving a 3 star rating is because of the workers attitude. I have gone to this Springfield Blvd location multiple times and on 2 occasions the cashier workers have given me attitude. Ordered my food and once I got to the register I realized I wanted a beef patty....... The attitude I got from the worker was like I had asked her to serve me the entire menu..... In addition to this we as customers are unable to fully see what food they have behind the counter and then they want to rush you. The food is a 5 , but the customer service unfortunately gets a 2, 2 1/2. Places like this need to do better, and stop treating other people better than their own ..... WE pay their bills not them.
The staff is courteous and friendly. And the food is fantastic. My friend and I had the Rasta pasta, sweet chili wings, jerk chicken and the large carrot juice. This will definitely be a destination for me anytime I am in NY. Finger licking good!!!
The only thing I enjoyed from there was they're mac and cheese and rice and peas. The beef patty was delicious as well. However, the jerk chicken tasted more like BBQ Chicken than jerk. And I wish I could tell you how the plantains tasted but they ignored our request to put it in the platter. In other words, the service was terrible. You feel rushed and they don't even complete your order appropriately. Wouldn't go back there, not worth the wait on the line.
I’m super picky about my soup. I usually order from another place but they were closed today. I’m proud to say I didn’t regret my choice. I order on Uber eats and asked for less dumpling and they complied. Broth wasn’t over greasy, carrots cooked to perfection and the chicken was great. Definitely found a new place to add to favorites.
Jamaica Flavors is the real deal. Not far from JFK Airport and located on the outskirts of a mall, the authentic Jamaican cuisine here tastes amazing and is reasonably priced. We had the jerk chicken and goat curry meals with two sides. There's no seating, so take out only.
