Despite the room not being ready on arrival, the staff provided courteous explanation and we were upgraded to an upper floor. Our family of 5 decided to choose Hyatt Place due to the location to all the restaurants for our food feast weekend and it did not disappoint. Amazing restaurants in the same building or just a few blocks away. The gym was small but functional and had all the equipment needed to do a full workout. The room was spacious which is often hard to find travelling with 3 teens, clean and everything worked as expected. Will definitely be back again.
We were greeted quickly and made welcome. There were always several people at desk to help. Room was spacious, temperature was easily controlled, beds and shower were great. Breakfast was atteactively served in a spacious area to prevent crowding. Plenty of seating. Protein and fruit were available along with other breakfast foods and several special items for the Asian guests. The subway is about a block away and the #7 goes right into the heart of the city. Valet parking. Call for exact location of entrance to LAZ parking. It isn't easy to spot. We needed something we had forgotten in the car and my son was unable to get it without the text message on my phone. Makes sense for security purposes, I guess. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.
Spacious, clean room -- we had two queens and a high floor, with a nice sitting area. Everything worked. Lobby was a little drab, but not off-putting. There were guest elevators and service elevators in the same area and you have to make sure to board the correct one. Breakfast was average. Was there two days. French toast was served once, potatoes once, along with yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, toast, and miso soup. You aren't full, but you can make it to lunch. There's a hotel bar in the lobby, but the hours (and menu) listed online are not accurate. That was disappointing. My party went back to the hotel specifically for the bar only to find them closed, without indication. For an out of towner, this isn't the most socially happening area (which made the closure of the hotel bar that much more frustrating). The airport shuttle to LGA is great and saved me a headache. Citifield is about half a mile on foot, definitely walkable if you have mobility. If I was popping into LGA and going to a ballgame, I'd stay here again.
Great service, clean rooms, front desk staff in the evening was very friendly and accommodating when arriving late, breakfast was always warm and well stocked, dining area very clean would stay there again
Best hospitality team I’ve encountered in my last three years of travel. Every single person was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and had a sophisticated and comfortable interior design aesthetic. My stay was perfect in every way. Thank you!
The hotel is mostly nice, but the staff was very inconsistent. Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, breakfast staff was plentiful and very nice. Evening and early morning front desk staff were less great. Worst part of the trip was the “shuttle” to the airport. I prescheduled a 5am shuttle, which the front desk wrote in a book. Got to lobby at 4:50am, and the front desk clerk was surprised to see us, flustered, and said the driver “called in sick”. So she called us a cab. But turns out the hotel already scheduled a cab for us (so 2 showed up and argued over who would take us), both of whom seemed to be friends of the hotel. The guy that too is was off-duty, and ran a red light at 50mph while talking on his phone. It seemed to be a regular arrangement for early morning airport shuttles. Not an issue itself, but the hotel could have just told us that was how they do early shuttles when we scheduled it.
This hotel stay made the difference for our last trip to NYC. We have to travel to NYC a few times a year on business and we had been staying at another major hotel near by. The Staff at the front desk and all the employees I encountered were polite and quick to smile and ask if I needed anything. This attitude makes all the difference and can change a customers impression of not only the hotel but the entire experience of the area being visited. The room was nice the hallways quiet and the lobby very pleasant.
Staff was incredible and genuinely friendly. Would go above and beyond if needed. Located near Subway line. Rooms were clean and hotel was extremely quiet at all hours of the day. Will definitely come back and stay again.
I've been staying here since 2014 and continue to do so. The staff is extremely friendly and the service is excellent. The location is perfect if you plan on doing a food trip in the harder flushing. There is also a beautiful bar at the roof.
I have seen good reviews for this hotel and it met my expectations. It is located at a very busy part of Flushing and is close to a lot of restaurants. Unless you park in a garage, street parking is a problem (which is the case for Flushing in general), The room is a nice size and although the hotel is in the busy part of town, the room is quite quiet. You do sometimes hear the rumbling of planes nearby because of the hotel's proximity to LaGuardia, but it is acceptable. One annoyance in the room is that the AC blows at you when you are sleeping. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is quite spacious and food is quite good. Overall an excellent choice for stay in the Flushing area - highly recommended
