Great food, some quite spicy! I loved my Grandma's Tofu, and we also offered the Singapore mei fun, spicy lamb, and duck. There were probably more gluten free dishes than listed.

HUPO is my go-to place in LIC. Food is great, the restaurant is very clean and staff members are welcoming.

Food was great. The cucumber cocktail, refreshing. Food was delicious. Ordered the double-cooked pork with leeks, duck fried rice, and Hong Kong Shumai that I forgot to take a picture of. I’d order food from here again.

Great food, service, and drinks. I got the chungking spicy chicken.... Beware, it's really spicy ?. Taste good but ask for mild.

We walked in at Saturday evening. Reservation was full on the weekend so the owner let us take a counter seat. We orderedDan Dan Noodles 成都旦旦麵 - super delicious! Besides regular spiciness, there’s a bit of sour flavor upgrades the layer of tastiness.Chunking spicy chicken 重慶辣子雞Stewed fish fillet in hot chili soup 水煮魚柳 - ?️?️?️three spicy level yet we think it’s not quite spicy a all, more like mild levelEggplant in garlic sauce 魚香茄子? - eggplant itself is fresh and chewy, sauce is refreshing, perfect match!Taro milk tea 芋頭奶茶 - more like powder milk instead of fresh milk, a bit of disappointingWe think the portion of the above entrée is big enough for 4 people (we have only two thus we took out some) feel satisfying with the meal! staff at the bar is really nice andattentive.

Great food! Service is very good and the ambience ??? Totally worth the trip if you are staying in NYC! They have traditional and American - Chinese food!

Food was good and tasty! The decor is nice as well. It was a bit chilly inside, I wish the dining area was a bit more insulated. The staff were really helpful and the service was outstanding. Need to return and try the other items on the menu.

Authentic Sichuan Chinese cuisine in the LIC.If you are debating between Hupo and Chairman Sun, choose Hupo. The food here is much better and tastes more authentic. It’s as if the chefs actually care about the quality of their food. ::gasp::A few of my native Chinese friends have also vouched for this place. They’ve stated that Hupo’s cuisine is on par with what you’ll get in China.

Serious hidden gem, hole in the wall in LIC. This is now my go to Chinese spot if I am in the area. I am so glad my friend brought me here as it is so tasty and delicious. The service is great and friendly. Do not scrimp on the appetizers.

Delicious and quite flavorful. The spicy cumin lamb was incredible, recommended.
