Tonight was my first experience dining here, and given that it was Cinco de Mayo, I'm not sure whether or not to give this place a break. Honestly, it feels like if you're a Mexican restaurant, you should be ready for the dinner rush on this holiday. Either way, the experience left much to be desired. When my partner and I arrived, we were seated promptly and a server came by and took our orders. That was the last time we would see him for another half hour. We ordered a couple of frozen margaritas, and some guac and chips to start. After thirty minutes, the server provided us with some water for the first time, and the margaritas finally got to the table. One was frozen, the other was not. We decided not to bring it up because we were thirsty. The unfrozen mango margarita was passable, but the frozen standard margarita was so tart, that you couldn't even taste the tequila. It was undrinkable. After a different server apologized for the wait, we received the guac and chips. The guacamole was just thick, unseasoned blocks of avocado with some pomegranate seeds in it that did nothing for either the flavor or presentation, so it boggles the mind what they were even doing there. After attempting to eat this, we asked to cancel the entrees and just pay for what we had received so we could go. The server came by and told us that our meal was comped for all the trouble and apologized. So at least they attempted to resolve the issue.
Very high quality food (generous portions), great drinks, and great hospitality.Crab guacamole, ceviche, and margaritas highly recommended.
Me, my boys, and grandson have come here twice now, and have no intentions of stopping. My idea of eating a meal outside of my home, to be great food, and incredible customer service. Hoja Santa happens to be outstanding at both. If you're looking for amazing Mexican food and the best hospitality, Hoja Santa is the place to be. Thank you all for an excellent experience❣
We ordered the carne asada tacos, which were subpar. The steak was bland. The shrimp tacos were great! Then we ordered the salmon con esquites, chicken enchilada, and pollo ala perilla. The chicken enchilada was good, the other two were kind of bland. Overall not a lot of flavor present in the dishes we ordered besides the shrimp tacos and the chicken enchilada.
Everything was so fresh and tasty! The guacamole was unlike any guacamole I’ve had before. Definitely try the enchiladas verdes and the pollo con mole, so good. My husband and I will definitely be back ??????
Oct 2, 2021 Came here for the first time today at dinner with family for the first time you come in you are welcomed. Everything was great the music was great! , attention, food, deco . Carolina owner was very attentive. Jack our waiter was exceptional!!!! Thank you doe making our visit a special on!!!! Will return.

**ON PANDEMIC** part 2Well guys… I have visited this restaurant so many times already!!! Currently my favorite lunch and dinner spot. They have many really good options fitting all type of diets and don’t be afraid to ask for suggestions, staff is super friendly and attentive. The closest to authentic Mexican food I have ever had!! Please try their tacos, AMAZING!!! Looking to get a few drinks? I have fallen in love with their Margaritas and Mojitos!Trust me, bring family and friends, the vibe set a great mood every time I go with my loved ones. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Had dinner at Hoja Santa with a group of friends and we had a great time. The food was really good! We tried appetizers, entrees and deserts. We loved all of them. The staff was very friendly and we felt really welcomed. Will definitely come back for dinner very often.
