Heart of Gold is a wonderful bar with amazing service and an excellent selection of rotating beers. The backyard is perfect for when you want it and the inside is cozy for when you don't. You won't regret coming here and you'll find yourself coming back.
Someone needs to give Bobby, our beer connoisseur/waiter, a raise because Bobby was so attentive, kind, and knowledgeable during our entire time at Heart of Gold. Service was truly 30 out of 10 (stupendous!!) on top of the fact that Heart of Gold has a large selection of local beers. Their not quiet chos, was also fantastic, loved the goat cheese they used.
Wasn't aware that you need proof of vaccination to sit at their outdoor space up front. Guess laws just make up themselves.
I went there tonight for the first time and the place was super clean, the staff was amazing, and the drink selection was really good! My new favorite bar in Astoria!!
Incredible selection of beer and cider, very pretty outdoor patio and a really nice interior as well. Staff was incredibly kind and service was quick. Can't wait to come back here regularly!

Heart of Gold just opened a few months ago. Though they do not serve foods, they have an amazing selection of local craft beers and cheese and meat platters. The lounge and backyard are amazing. I will be back.

One of the nicest bar owners I've ever met. And there's an amazing collection of beer and wine and a great little menu of munchies. They're really open and care about making the place feel like a community. The environment is chill and inclusive. Highly recommend!!
Where to go you go to say goodbye to friends that are moving away during a global pandemic in February? This is your place. Covid conscious, cozy backyard with heaters and an awesome beer selection and yummy beer hall style snacks. Huge shoutout to Catherine for taking such incredible care of us and not batting an eye when we rolled in with 3 small children and a very pregnant lady. She was so kind and knowledgeable and we were able to safely spend some time with dear friends before they depart the city. As a service industry veteran I am always self conscious about being "those customers" and we could not have felt more welcome. Can't wait to go back when its warmer!
