Best Jerk Chicken
I love the Halal lamb plate from the food truck in Manhattan but I did not have time to go there during this trip to the East Coast but because I was in Queens Village visiting relatives I tried this joint and the food was excellent. Only complaint is that the “white sauce” should have been spicier. The service was excellent as well.
ORDER#23: 3/27/22:. I guess today was not my day. My wife showed me a video from *TikT**.. with a guy enjoying and recommending the Jerk Chicken with the "Dragon Sauce" and we decided we will try this one day. Well today, our son wanted something spicy to eat, so decided to go to the Queens Village store instead of Rosedale (parking is a mess). Ordered 3 Jerk Chick combo, 1 regular Chick combo and a Jerk Salad. They forgot the Pita for the combo's, so basically paid for sodas. Now onto the food.. I don't know if this was normal, but all the rice was overcooked and clumpy.. this is not what you would expect. We managed to pick the chicken and loose rice out so we can eat. The food did taste good, but too much was wasted. We ended up ordering elsewhere for the kids. My wife did enjoy the salad, so the trip to Queens Village was not a complete waste. Would I try here again? Yes. But, Halal bros would not be our go to place for this type of food.
Was worth the wait very delicious. I was pleased with how fresh the salad was, plus the hot wings was really crispy on the outside but juicy inside which you want in your chicken wings. Definitely will be coming back. The jerk chicken over rice was also good, the jerk chicken had just enough seasoning which was not overpowering, plus the smoked flavor made it taste really good.
It was my first time there, the avocado fries with the dragon sauce was awesome. Staff was friendly & service was quick. Will definitely go back
First time there, the Avacado fries with dragon sauce awesome. The people were super friendly with super fast service. Will absolutely go back
Working in the area this Friday 13/19/21 !!Helping getting this New USB Arena ready for their grand opening ...Needed something Hot & delicious & satisfying !!Found it !!! Looks like a brand new Resturant !!!!Very clean, the gentleman behind the counter were very polite and served me to go pretty fast ...I went with my normal, Lamb plate over salad !!!Extra meat at a $ 3.00 up charge ...I asked to crisp up my meat on the flat top which they gladly accommodated for me ...They have a super fresh salad station with a very large selection of veggies & toppings ....Their white sauce was on point & their hot sauce hit the spot ...This review was totally based on their lamb Gyro meat over salad !! A solid 5 stars !! But as ya know can't throw the 5th Star out until I try at least another 5 items on their menu !!!Their lamb was very good & super moist still with my requested crisp !!!Definitely making this my Halal go to spot when we are working on the area !!!Thanks guys !!Greg D
This is the type of food you make yourself real comfortable for before you eat. Or better yet, this is the "itis" type of food. Woke up from a Halal bros food coma to write this review. Lol..Let's just say I regret that I haven't been here sooner. I love a great quesadilla. Ordered their lamb quesadilla with lettuce and a side full pint of chicken. All simple and packing with delicious flavor. I loved the seasoning in the chicken. Great spices and portions are perfect for the price. I am definitely coming back for a loaded chicken quesadilla and a snapple. Clean location and quick plus friendly service. Two thumbs way up! ????
The Best Chicken / Rice Platter Ever ? ?? Halal Bros Grill Queens Village218-74 Hempstead Ave, Queens, NY 11429Not gonna lie reading some of the other reviews. I thought this placed was overhyped. So, I definitely I had to check them out. Boy was I wrong. I ordered their Jerk chicken over rice combo. It comes with pita and can of soda. Also, I added avocado, and 2 falafels on top? ? ?Review:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️(5 out of 5 Stars)Clean Restaurant and friendly staff. It’s Hot and Fresh. They give you a lot of food in one plate and it was definitely filling. The jerk chicken was delicious and for the pita, it’s one whole pita bread cut into four slices. The falafel were okay. I think this is the best chicken and rice platter, I have ever had. I would definitely recommend you guys check them out. I gotta try their other foods too. Don’t forget to add the sauces, I got the last 3 sauces (Jalapeño cream, Jerk sauce, Dragon sauce) and the classic, white sauce. Lastly, remember to always say Bismillah and Alhamdulilah for everything ❤️
It's the first time I've tried their cuisine. In comparison to normal halal establishments, I give them a five-star rating for the diversity of selections available. The staff was pleasant and helpful.Jerk chicken salad and crispy chicken over rice were two dishes I sampled. The fried chicken with rice was fantastic.I really liked their spicy white sauce. However, the jerk chicken salad was dry, the vegetables were old, and the salad bar was unclean. It's worth a shot, but not at double the price of ordinary halal meals.
