Food tastes better at home. Fish fry was cooked in old oil. Rice is dry. Overall, everything tastes life warmed up left overs. Two can dine for about $40. I do not recommend this place for Bengali cuisine. However, the staff is very friendly and courteous. If I have no choice, then this place is a good option for late night eatery.Update... I had a stomach ache a few hours later.. could've been from the tap water served there.
Amazing people and great quality food!We had the murgh pulao and was possibly the most authentic biryani I have ever had - the flavor in every grain of rice was an indication of the skills they have in the kitchen!Yes - the restaurant was not super clean in the sitting area - but then when the quality of food is this perfect - it shouldn't really matter
It is extremely hot inside the restaurant. No AC system whatsoever. Dirty environment. Food was okay, not too bad. Kachi biryani would be better with khalijeera rice not basmati rice, but was cooked right way with good big pieces. Partner and I were sweating in heat. Very uncomfortable to eat due to this mainly. Also, - cash only. I'm sure you can guess why.
Please avoid this place at all cost. Horrible customer service. My 2 besties and I had dinner there on the eve of Eid. It took them 30 mins to take our order and another 20 min to serve us food. We were fasting the whole day and were starving so we ordered a few items. The server who served us was very nice and we were happy with the service/food and left a generous tip at the end. Later the same day a few hours later, my younger sister who joined us later said she was starving as she skipped both her lunch and dinner. So we took her to this same restaurant. The server who previously served us saw us at the entrance so we thought he’d come and take my sister’s order. We sat there for 20 min, no server came. Then we finally asked another server that no one came to take our order. He said didn’t you guys already eat? We said it’s not for us but for my younger sister, but the man pointed to my bestie and he’s like no this sister ate before so we didn’t think you’d order food again!! We were so horrified and felt so disrespected, we just got up and left. My sister didn’t get to eat anything, poor girl was so embarrassed. A note to the restaurant: it’s our money and our stomachs, if we wanna eat 10x, that’s none of your business. Your only job is to serve food, treat your customers right and make money. Unfortunately, we won’t be going there ever again. My poor bestie almost started crying. I would’ve given 0 stars if possible.
We ordered beef halim, beef shish kabab, naan and daal puri. Halim was okay but a bit thicker than usual. Instead of beef shish kabab they served chicken shish kabab which they didn’t mention. Naan and daal puri was super dry and cold which was totally disappointing!
Food is decent (can be hit of miss). But if you’re craving some Bengali food you can get it from here 24/7.Cleansing is another factor tho.
I had lunch at Haat Bazaar Restaurant and had a fantastic time. I'm going there for the first time their foods are amazing, especially the Fish menu. I order Ilish pulao, mutton kacchi biryani, and Golda chingri. I tried Ilishpulao, and Golda chingri for the first time. I'm in love with their Ilish pulao definitely trying it again. honestly, golda chingri wasn't the best I believe because it didn't taste fresh enough but if anyone went to Bangladesh they may like the fish there since they're fresher than the one we can get in the USA. The waiter was friendly and polite. If you enjoy Bengali cuisine, this is a must-try place.
It was one of the desi restaurants where I used to visit a lot to have deshi tasty foods.
We had Tea there and I can say the best tea I had outside after a long time. Ordered Biryani and Fish Pulao and that too was good. Will definitely try again.
The food was not good ,forget about customer serviceThe only things I liked there was tea and singada
