So glad they open on Mondays again!! I've been eating from Empanadas Cafe for years and they're still just as great as ever, if not better! The place is lovely, the staff are so kind even when there's a crowd pressuring outside, the empanadas are incredible and now I can buy with card so I don't feel too guilty about getting one or two more empanadas. Love them and totally recommend the Hawaiian option

BEST EMPANADAS EVER!!!!I ordered chicken with potatoes,pork and fish.Fish was ok.CHICKEN WITH POTATOES AND PORK are LEGIT ones to try!!Price is reasonable.You call ahead and they will get it ready within 20min. Hot and crispy!! so YUMMY??After I ordered, I waited about 15min. before my name was called.BE AWARE that this is good place so street parking is terrible! but it is worth it!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️??????????
When you taste those empanadas, you can sense that they were made with a lot of love. Best empanadas I have ever had
4/1/22: Excellent empanadas. They take 10 to 20 minutes to cook after you order, but it's worth the wait. The crust is perfectly crispy and flaky. And they include a fresh made green hot sauce (not from a bottle). Had the plantain and cheese (4.75*), jalapeno and cheese (4.75*), Nutella and banana (4.5*), and the pork chicharron (4.0*, the only one I didn't love, I was expecting some of the crispy chicharron inside, but it's all soft, wouldn't order this one again as they've got so many other great ones). Update: Came back the same day to order more: Corn Flour Shredded Beef and Potato (4.5*), Corn Flour Ground Beef and Cheese (4.5*), Whole Grain Chicken and Cheese (4.5*), Corn Flour Chicken and Potato (4.25*), White Flour Beef (4.25*), Corn Flour Broccoli and Cheese (4*, decent but boring, wouldn't order again), White Flour Spinach and Ricotta (4*, decent but boring, wouldn't order again), Corn Flour Codfish and Potato (3.5*, too fishy, wouldn't order again), White Flour Hawaiana (Ham, Cheese, Pineapple) (3.5*, too sweet, didn't like flavor, wouldn't order again).

Cute little spot ! Empanadas were amazing! Unfortunately customer service and the girls Attitudes were horrible! I made my order and While waiting I noticed someone pick up a platter of miniature empanadas and I said wait it’s my daughter’s birthday Friday let me place that order. Well asking the young lady at the window how much was the platter made her so aggravated! Rude! I did not place my order! If you’re that miserable don’t work with the general public!!
One of the best empanadas places in NY. I have been going there for a few years now. Lovely people as not a long wait time. I like to order over the phone.

Previously the last time we stopped here was to cater empanadas for our first baby shower almost 10 years ago! Things have changed since then with the covid precautions, but the empanadas are just as delicious as we remembered. We ordered nine beef, two plantain & cheese, and two nutella & banana. They are cash only. I forgot that part, but there was an atm at the Chinese restaurant next door. It's best to order ahead. Parking isn't easy, so it's also helpful to bring someone along that can pick up the order.
Service is wonderful the day I was there with two young ladies aside from attractive you're very polite very courteous and efficient taking your order and preparing everything within 5 to 7 minutes depending on the size of the order while I was there before I can get out of the car there were people walking up to place their orders there were people riding their bikes police cars came fire truck came and people with double parts but as I said the two young ladies were very efficient I'm glad everyone's daughter got them out ASAP they are very popular and most importantly the empanadas are very good they have a quite a variety as well as offer miniature empanadas and party platters I will certainly be back please take the trip and enjoy if you go in the summer grab a few maybe a cold drink and enjoy them and flushing meadow Park which is a couple of blocks away
