My experience was Meh!The spicy beef with cilantro was not juicy, although it tasted okay. The lamb skewers didn't taste fully cooked, although my friend disagreed.Looking at the ratings, their noodles are probably better.
Monstrous plate chicken is not "monstrous" in size at all. Taste is okay but priced too high.Pork Chinese hamburger is much better than lamb Chinese hamburger. The latter one is spicy and cumin flavored.Eight jewel rice pudding is not bad. It has walnut, dates, sesame seeds, peanut, raisins, dried jasmine flower, probably brown sugar or red bean paste, and glutinous rice (steamed).Overall it's a little under expectations given the price.
The noodles here are fantastic. We also had the lamb and the Chinese burger. They take credit card, which is always an extra star for me in Flushing, where quite a few places are still cash only. Beware of their “curly fries”. We ordered this for my picky 3 year old and asked if they could make them non-spicy, and were told that it isn’t even really spicy. It arrived drenched in spicy oil, with some extra numbing pepper thrown on top. They are also neither fried nor curly, but more like a Chinese take on home fries—but I suppose that serves us right for trying to order American fast food at an authentic Chinese restaurant. I actually thought they were pretty good.
This is just a review for the beef noodles but ill be sure to come back to try some of the other dishes. The focus of the beef noodle soup is the hand pulled noodles. They are bouncy and soft and made fresh for each order. I know this because i asked for takeout and asked for uncooked noodles and they said they pull it fresh for each dish.As far as the broth, its a tasty clear beef broth. They are cilantro and they have some beef slices. The one thing I would wish is that the the spicy oil would be spicier.
Not bad of a place. Beef was a little chewy, definitely could improve
Been here for many time. Great service but a bit quite. Great taste of food. Highly recommend anyone that loves noodle.
Hidden gem in flushing. Prices are very affordable around the same as prices in the food courts. I prefer eating at places like these some days over food courts, as you get your own table and good AC. Would visit again.
I love their Chinese burgers but this right here is just non sense. I just ordered their steam lamb and paid 23bucks for this half box of lamb. It’s such a rip off to pay 23 dollars for just this !!!
The noodle here is super authentic! You can’t wish for better!
DunHuang offers good quality noodles at a relatively less expensive price.
