i can enjoy a donut that’s not overly sweet so i guess i can see why some in the reviews may not enjoy it but it’s exactly what i needed! blueberry lemon and hibiscus are more tart than sweet but they’re delicious. passion fruit is too good ? it’s not overpowering and pairs well w the donut itself. all the flavors do
I was so disappointted. I was craving the chocolate and hibiscus donut, which I am very familiar with. They were awful. I couldn't believe it. The dough is not what it was, and there is no flavor. I'm hoping it's just this Astoria place that uses a different recipe. This is NOT the dough doughnuts I know and love. Urban Space 45th Street and park, those are the real.deal. at least I hope they still are.
This is hidden but I was so excited when I found it. No place to sit really besides a bench outside but their donuts are delicious. However, I went in around mid-day and they were already sold out of most of their donuts. They were waiting on their second delivery for the day so I didn’t get to make a purchase but will call ahead next time. Highly recommend trying if you’re in the area.
Just went in with my roommate and I just wanted to say that the worker Emily is amazing and deserves everything she wants in this world and probably a raise too. The donuts were very delicious too! Thanks!
Sorry to say but this was a very disappointing donut. It was more like a thick, flavorless cake or something like white bread. The icing on the Passion fruit + Cocoa Nib Donut wasn't nearly enough icing to compete with this honking clump of flavorless bread. The icing on the Strawberry + Cherry Blossom Jam donut tasted like sugar. That being said the Cherry Blossom jam itself was amazing but could not resurrect this underwhelming experience. If this was a jam shop, I'd give it 5 stars. Also, $5+ for a donut is absurdly expensive so I'd expect it to be one of the best dessert experiences possible. The donuts look good and sound good but that's about it.
Great donuts in the area. Amazing flavor options.Love the local feel, esp when Steve (owner) is at the shop. Great convo!
Great staff and ambiance. Sadly their donuts are more for show than actual flavor. I ordered a Nutella donut and it was a regular chocolate filling. The employee recommended a Boston Creme and that was even worse. Not worth the price.
These doughnuts are amazing!!! The vegan doughnuts are just as delicious as the non-vegan. I had a few vegan doughnuts at home, and my meat-eating relatives visited had some of the doughnuts. They ended up ordering some to go when they left. Astoria has everything now! We are complete. :). Bonus, service is always impeccable.
The vegan doughnuts are the best vegan doughnuts anyone will ever have in their entire life. Highly recommend to anyone who is vegan and loves good food!
Astoria is changing so much& not for the better. These hipster trendy spots open up in an old fashioned naighborhood charging 5+ for what they call “doughnuts” ..literal trash. Dunkin’ for the win. Def check this place out though if you’re into spending $10 on 2 doughnuts that are made from garbage. Can’t wait til they close and another trendy trash hipster money trap opens up selling an artisan small hot chocolate for $8 oh wait…go up to Queens Room if you want that.
