Wings and taro fries were amazing! Amongst the best wings ever. District Pho and Wood and Herb Smoked Brisket Pho outstanding. Smoked was smokiest dish and district pho was as good as in Hanoi
As someone’s who has spent 2 weeks in Vietnam I say that one can get great and authentic Vietnamese food in the 5 boros. My daughter just moved to Astoria. She’s got celiac disease so eating out is a challenge. The closest restaurant that has GF is District Saigon so we gave it a try. Great choice. This is among the best Vietnamese restaurants we’ve been to in the USA. Really like a high end restaurant in Vietnam. The wings and taro were outstanding. My wife who isn’t a fan of anything fried loved them. I’m from Buffalo and I rank these wings as good as anywhere. Very very crispy and tasty. The District Pho was astonishingly good pho. Great flavor. As my Vietnamese friends say it’s all in how one spices the broth. It was so tasty I didn’t add jalapeños as I normally do. I just wanted it as is! This was authentic. I loved the bone marrow bone in it. The Wood and Herb Smoked Brisket Pho was one of the smokiest dishes I’ve smelled or eaten. I mean the smoky smell beats a Texas BBQ joint. If you like smoky flavor you should run here. The Bún bò Hue was as good as we had in Hue. I know we’ll be eating here often when we visit my daughter.
This was my 2nd visit and I wanted to introduce my friends to this great restaurant for authentic Vietnamese food. They have a few varieties of pho which I think is the star of the restaurant. I recommend their signature pho but I’m sure the other varieties are good as well. For an appetizer we had the Vietnamese crepe that was filled with seafood and ground pork which was really good. On my first visit we had the taro fries with fried chicken - highly recommend both appetizers! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Loved it. Great food. Great service. Really liked the drinks. They had a lychee soda, which I never saw anywhere before. It was quite refreshing, though I preferred the like soda for its' sour flavor. The Obama Bun Cha was great, but I have to give the best Bun Cha title to Hanoi House, which is the best I've ever had.
Great food and solid service. I was very happy with the quality of the food here, and the price was very fair for the amount of food ordered. I really loved their satay, and the pho was one of the best I've had in recent memory. I would certainly recommend this place to someone looking for a solid Vietnamese restaurant in the area — I would be happy to return in the near future.
Overall great service, excellent food, and sanitary. When you get in you need to show your proof of vaccination, since it is indoor dining. We ordered the Obama’s Bún Cha ($15 for 2 pork patties, salad, cold vermicelli noodles, and 4 spring rolls), Round Steak and Angus Brisket Pho ($15), Pork Chop ($18 includes porkchops, salad, rice, and an egg on top), and the Chicken Wings with Taro Fries ($10 and includes 4 wings+fries)
I’m a huge fan of pho and so when visiting friends who live in Astoria, I wanted to try District Saigon: and I really enjoyed it, would visit again!We ordered the District Saigon Pho (their signature) and also the intriguingly-named smoked brisket pho.The signature was great: I love a rich broth and I think the bone with marrow in the broth must add to its flavor.I only sampled the smoked brisket one and you could really smell that flavor.Given how good the takeout was, I’m looking forward to dining in at some point and trying the pho while it’s piping hot!
Amazing food! Amazing service! I got a gigantic bowel of District PHO with super hot sauce on the side, but I loved my friend's FRIED RICE better. The hot ginger tea was wonderful too. Every (8) one of us was happy and satisfied! Thank you Ms. Pim, best manager ever!!
Great service. My party stayed extra long and we never felt rushed. I had the Pho with extra noodle and Ox tail. Serving sizes were good. I thought I was really hungry, ordered extra but would have been more than full with the order itself.
Really great spot, food and service on point. Pricing in line with the neighborhood one of my regular spots around the way. Very nice staff ❤️
