We celebrated our mom's birthday party at Cross Bay Diner last week. I've read so many good reviews about this restaurant online, and although we live in Richmond Hill, I pushed my family to try this American diner. They didn't disappoint! The location is just along Howard Beach, so it was easy to locate. By the time we entered the restaurant, the staff greeted us and we were given the menu right away. The crew took our orders well and the food was served in just less than 15 minutes. The food that we ordered was so good that I had to order another burger. We will definitely come back!

We found our new to go brunch diner! The service was amazing, the food delicious and the prices fair. The place was full (we arrived at 2:00 pm). And I love when I see different generations of people enjoying each other company and food. We will definitely come back. Thank you!

The best breakfast I’ve ever had in New York. Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. Bacon was better than the sausage. But the sausage photographed better. Wonderful view of the water. Servers were excellent and there was parking!

The place was right across from my planet fitness gym I've been going to for the last 3 years so I just decided to try it out. I has the chicken and waffles, mozzarella sticks w/sauce, chicken parmasean, pancakes with blue berries an strawberries from the brunch menu. Overall it was a delicious meal. The only thing that they messed up was the pancakes which wasn't cooked thoroughly so we had to send it back. The attention given by the waiter was great so he wasn't to blame and I still tipped him well. The screwdriver drink I had with my brunch special was quite strong so I like that. The place was clean and there was a lot of people on there. The wait wasn't long for the food. I would go back again

1st visiting this diner with my family, it was crowded so we did had a long wait to be seated but the food was overall fresh and tasty. Definitely will return just not on a Sunday ?

It’s pathetic how the owner raised his prices and charges 3.5 percent if you pay your bill with a credit card. With a bogus sign cash discount. Paying the outrageous prices on the menu is not a discount. He passes the bank charge to the customers. Unfortunately the waitress will suffer. I used to give 20 percent tip. Now you only get 15 percent plus 3.5 charges to my credit card. 18.5 total extras. Tell the owner to give you the 3.5 on your paycheck since he passes the charge to the customers ! Don’t care if the local businesses do the same thing. You pass the charge to the customers and your wait staff gets a lower tip to cover my cost !

I’ve been coming here since the pandemic and I’m upset that I wasn’t coming here before. Everyone here is so nice including the owner who is always helpful. The location is convenient and they have plenty of parking. The food is always fresh and the mimosas are amazing. Give this diner a try because they are worth it. Especially in these times everyone is welcome.

Good food and parking. Little pricey. Turkey burger deluxe for two came up to approximately $48.00.Won't be a regular stop for me.Normally I get food for three and drinks with appetizers for around 55$ at nearby restaurants on liberty av..that's close by.

My family and I have been coming to this diner for years now. I was impressed at their service during these times making all customers feel welcomed. Grateful that they were not weird about masks. Food was EXCELLENT as usual. Just one thing. Bought a cookie for my son and it was hard as a rock ?. Everything else was wonderful and will definitely be coming back.

Great place. Really good eggs benedict although the English muffin was toasted too well and very hard. My buckwheat pancakes with bacon extra crispy was great. My brother and I really liked the place with spacious seating and a quick drive to get there and we would also go again.
