I have been coming here since 2004, when I lived a few blocks away, it’s easily my favorite place to eat in all of Queens. I will purposely go out of my way just to eat here, even if I don’t need to be in the area. It’s a no frills diner that is exactly the same as it was back in 04, while everything around it has changed. It’s clean and inviting. Everyone has always been so nice and friendly, service has always been prompt. I’ve never had any issues with food or service. My go to has always been the grilled cheese deluxe meal, which is just a simple grilled cheese and my choice of curly fries. I haven’t had the pizza burger or turkey burger in many years, but those were old favorites. The menu has stayed mostly the same, including cost, but I was pleased to see the addition of vegan meatballs to the menu. I love Court Square Diner, I always have, I have so many memories here and it holds a special place to me.
Superb value for money. Proper old school diner with brilliant portion sizes. Would definitely visit again. Eggs cooked to perfection. Coffee refills. Just as you’d expect.
First time dining inside and I definitely enjoyed the food. The waiter wasn’t accommodating enough but he wasn’t rude so that was a plus. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had in NYC and their strawberry cheesecake was very good! I would definitely like to have breakfast next time I go. Till next time!
I was in LIC for a couple days recently. Went here 3 times.24/7 & safe areaExcellent omeletteExcellent ruebinExcellent serviceExcellent customersExcellent viewTrader Joe's is next door. Also, a few doors down on 23rd is a small grocery / short order that has a nice looking menu board and a few tables. I didn't make it there but it looks good. Both places locally owned operated.Have no fear!
Never ordering from here again!! Ordered 2 bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches, 1 with salt and ketchup and the other with just salt and pepper through Grubhub. I recieved both sandwiches completely DRENTCHED in ketchup. Clearly these guys don't have the ability to read nor follow instructions. Both sandwiches were unedible with the amount of ketchup that was added onto them, even though i requested ketchup on just 1. Absolutely disgusting and disrespectfull way of providing service and making food.
I came here exhausted after a hard days work in the big apple. Throat parched and stomach empty I stumbled through the shimmering silver gates of this fine establishment. First impressions, wow. Just wow. It was perfectly lit (and it was quite bright in there too), and the service was top notch. Even before I had time to breathe (I usually respire 6 times per minute) I had tap water placed in front of me. Delicious (chef’s kiss). Thirst; quenched. At last I was hydrated. I was most impressed with the wide and varied selection catering to all creatures great and small. As if by magic, just as my hunger peaked the food appeared. Grand in size, varied in taste it was all I’d been searching for these last few years. Alas my eyes were much larger than my stomach, but I wish that they were not HA HAHAHA.
Detouring here for onion rings was the cherry on top of a-plenty benders
First time visiting this dinner and I am glad I did. I pass this place almost every weekend and have the curiosity to taste the food I am a big fan of dinner food. Nothing extraordinary about this place I will say is average compared to other restaurants. The service was good very attentive staff. Super easy to get to, right next to the court square train station, like the G,E and 7 trains. I will recommend this place!
Surprised at how good the food is and extremely responsive service for a simple diner! I stopped in, hungry and cold on a sub-freezing January weekday, and ordered a late breakfast. This was the first time I have ever tried this place which has served the area for about half a century. The exterior is a very well maintained retro 1969s chrome-siding and look. The interior fortunately is more updated, reasonably furnished like a regular diner. I'm used to mediocre food and inattentive service at many diners, but Court Square Diner broke the mold. I am rarely in this area anymore, but I would love to stop by for a meal again. Highly recommended.
4 stars because it’s the only walking distance from home diner left, and everyone who works there is great. It’s in a traditional diner car, the food is good, and it was in season 1 of modern love. The scrambled eggs are yellow and fluffy, the fries are crispy, the hash browns have crisp red peppers, the hot sauce is cholula instead of Tabasco, the house salad is fresh - nothing is limp, grey, lifeless or odd.
