This place is so so so good! Highly recommend both the coconut chicken and pepper pork broth. Will definitely come back again.
Food was good, but took forever to get to us. Ordered via Seamless/Grubhub and it took over 2 hours to get to me, and we live less than a 7 minute drive from this place. Every time I called, they told me it would be there in 10 minutes, but that was not true as it took 2 hours to receive the order. They blamed the driver, saying they picked it up and was on the way. When we asked the driver, he said he just received the order and delivered it right away, which means the restaurant messed up. I suggest going to the restaurant to order and pick up, or sit down if you want to try this spot.
Their at home kit is well made! 100% get the coconut chicken, best chicken broth you can get!
Freah, instead of frozen, free range chicken taste different than anything else. Well worth the try. This will certainly redefined your taste buds of what chicken should be.
They have good quality of chicken and they can make the chicken in so many different flavors. The casseroles are fine, above average! They follow COVID-19 rules restrictedly, which is a good sign.
Too salty for meDuck with smellChicken is ok
Why so much chicken tho
Hainan chicken is highly recommended. The waitress was very understanding and I definitely will be back in the future for more Hainan Chicken.
Sauce is very good. Very unique and authentic southern Chinese hotpot in New York. Good for people who cannot have spicy and like chicken. Great price, 2 people set is only $58. You can enjoy a hotpot for $35-40 per person after tax and tips.
Coco Rooster has been on my bucket list since they opened last year. We were curious with the coconut chicken hotpot which was much lighter and healthier than the other hotpot broth. The decor was cozy and the staff was friendly. We ordered their lunch special combo: coconut & fresh chicken soup and fresh & salted fish over rice for $13.99. However, it was kind of disappointing since the food wasn’t too good. The soup was flavorful but the chicken was tough and dry. The meat and salted fish were delicious but the portion was small compared to the amount of rice it has. We might visit again for their signature hotpot but we don’t recommend it based on our first time experience.
