My first time ordering from Chicken N Shakes was June 1, 2022 through Uber Eats. The grilled chicken sandwich was so fresh and tasty. The onion rings were not soggy. The cookies and cream shake was nothing special. I ordered again on June 2 as I had an Uber Eats coupon. I ordered rice and beans and the grilled chicken sandwich again. The sandwich this time, the chicken was overcooked. I received plain white rice. The restaurant should of called to inform me they did not have what I ordered vs sending me plain rice. I can easily make white rice but their rice and beans pic looked really good. I contacted Uber Eats and they told me they cannot refund me due to having previous refunds. Not sure what my refunds with other restaurants has to do with my issue with Chicken N Shakes. I emailed Chicken N Shakes and yet to hear a responses.
Checked out the place during Halal Week and was able get the two sandwich and fries deal for $10Sandwiches ordered:- Spicy Chicken Sandwich- Shredded BirdBoth sandwiches were excellent. The spicy chicken sandwich is definitely a top three contender for the best chicken sandwich in NYC. It is rightly sized, with the perfect crisp and kicker sauce.
Highly recommended! They offer both fried and grilled options when it comes to chicken. This was my 2nd visit this week and this time we tried the burgers and shakes, which were top quality. They have 8 different sauces and I had the pleasure to try them all. I do recommend ordering ahead for the grilled chicken because it takes half an hour, but it's totally worth the wait. I look forward to trying more of their items.
My coworker and & I walked in, I spoke to the host that was taking our order. I said Hi, this is our first time here so I asked her what is recommended. Her attitude and the way she spoke was NOT inviting what so ever. She seemed annoyed and honestly I wanted to walk right out because as a first timer to your place of business thats no way to treat customers. Her attitude after asking her a few questions and trying to reorder turned me off. There was no line, nor was it busy (just myself and my co-worker there at the time) so I'm confused as to why she came off like this. Clearly, Chicken N Shakes does not care about keeping their customers coming back.I decided to try something new for lunch and this restaurant seem like a good choice but after getting my food I regret even spending my money here.The fries were wayyyy too oily to the point that the oil made the fries super soggy and we could not eat it. I tried a few fries when we left the store and I thought they fries were soggy because they began to sweat in the bag but not it was OIL. My coworker and I ended up throwing them out because you can't eat it. As you can see from the photos and video every fry I picked up, oil. I haven't even tried the chicken sandwich, probably won't. Do I recommend this restaurant? Nope.
Been there three times now getting the spicy chicken sandwich. There's no doubt the sandwiches are great, but the wait times have been inconsistent. One time, it was quick and easy, five or so minutes. The next, just for a single sandwich, was a 20 minute wait. That was not ideal. Order ahead if you can.
I got a spicy chicken sandwich with 6pc spicy Buffalo wings and roasted garlic sauce. Everything tasted perfect AND I felt well fed. The spicy chicken sandwich isn't very spicy at all but man it is amazing. The bun is probably a brioche bun so it doesn't get very soggy even with all of the sauce. The patty is not flat like other places and has a lot of great flavor. The pickles went well with the creamy (eggy?) sauce which was amazing. The wings were the best. The spicy Buffalo was not too overpowering and the wings were not too small. The roasted garlic sauce toned down the spice and had really great texture . it's been a few hours and I can still taste it.
Horrible food and service. Food was burnt over cooked. Please don’t waste your money there.
I ordered 6 spicy chicken sandwiches and some Fries. Sandwiches were cold. When I placed an order they said it will be ready in 20 minutes, I got there in 10. It feels like they were made hrs ago ?. Killed the whole taste. I spend over $50. Such a disappointment.
I went yesterday to order a combo of 5 Chicken tenders (it comes with biscuits). The cashier told me that they didn't have any biscuits because the machine broke. I asked him if I can choose another side and he said no. I asked again if I would be charge for the biscuit and he says yes. It's very unfair to be charged for the that is not there. I told him that he would loss a sell just for a biscuit and he told me that it's just 10 cents and he's been selling the combo just like that all day and he doesn't care. At the end he lost not just 10 cents, it was 8 dollars but it's alright. I guess the customer have to pay for your broke stuffs
i ordered the shredded bird sandwich and a chocolate milkshake. not gonna lie I was kinda skeptical about the sandwich since I haven’t tried anything like it but it was really good. the chocolate milkshake was very good too. their spicy chicken sandwich is also really good. would definitely recommend this place.
