This was such a great find! The staff was so accommodating to my larger party. Everyone was satisfied and said they would return individually!!!

My first time! Delicious pork carnitas cemitas - packed with flavor, texture, and just PACKED! Even through delivery their food was awesome!

I have become addicted to this spot. Their food is absolutely amazing. It's the 3rd time I order in one week.Their mushroom cemita is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Their fish and carnitas tacos are absolutely perfect! Their salsa roja is amazing and fresh. The corn, french fries, guacamole and churros and beans are fantastic as well.I'm so happy to have found a spot that I know I can count on for great food.10 stars!

Am giving 3 stars because I remember the first time I got a barbacoa burrito from here, it was absolutely amazing but I don't know what happened, the quality of the burrito went down. I would get this always but the last 2 times I got it, either the barbacoa was dry or the burrito was made so quickly they just carelessly put everything in it because it had no cheese whitch I asked for like a smudge of sour cream. It was mainly rice meat and some pico. I hate this situation because I enjoyed this burrito so much. Tragic situation.

Disappointing from start to finish in terms of the takeout experience. I tried to place a pickup order through the phone, but was told that was not an option and should instead place an order online. That's what I ended up doing. Through their "order pickup" option, I ordered the southern fried chicken burrito (a popular option) for about $16 and change, including tax. This is an expensive burrito for the Sunnyside area, especially when there are other options available at a much cheaper price. When I got to the restaurant to pick up the burrito, I noticed the burrito price was $11.95, whereas I paid $14.75 + tax online. I asked if, in the future, I could simply call to place a pickup order at the in-store price of $11.95. I was told this was not an option - the gentleman told me to either order online at the increased rate or order in store at the lower rate. This honestly just seems like a bad way to do business (having worked in a restaurant/food service before, many places still take orders by phone for pickup. Doing so also allows them to save on the 10% pickup commission fee 3rd party platform charges). My guess is the restaurant is understaffed (therefore not being able to taking orders over the phone by default. But when I went to pickup my order, the establishment was empty) or the owner is trying to make more money off a takeout order (increasing the prices by 24% as opposed to just 10%). Left a bad taste in my mouth as I left the restaurant. In terms of the taste of the burrito, I would describe it as sub-par. The burrito was in a state right below lukewarm (almost cold to the touch), the burrito fell apart pretty quickly,, and the burrito was massively sized. Cemitas El Tigre packs their burritos with a ton of ingredients, which would normally be a welcomed experience, but the burrito itself honestly did not taste very good. There were huge chunks of chicken mixed with rice, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, mild spicy sauce, and some other ingredients - all wrapped inside a very flaky, soft, untasty tortilla. It made for a difficult eating experience.Objectively, there is not much positives to note about this takeout experience. I hate to leave bad reviews for the negative impact it can have on the restaurant, but this experience was particularly appalling. I will be taking down this review at some point in the future, but would hope the restaurant changes its pickup ordering pricing policies. If you want a really tasty, fresh, authentic and quality burrito, at a reasonable price, I would recommend Steven's Food Truck on Roosevelt Avenue between 69th street and 70th street. It is my gold standard for burritos.

OMG!!!! The best Mexican food I have ever eaten!!! And at such a reasonable cost. The beef they used for the tacos was divine. Melt in your mouth tender, with no fat either. And a TON of meat!! Who gives a ton of meat on a taco? No one. One taco would fill you up. Get them with the Guacamole on it, to die for. My friend had a burrito with the same meat and he couldn’t believe it either. The staff and owner are delightful. It is the way every restaurant should be run and treat their customers. Finally a happy server. So nice. For dessert I got the Churros with Chocolate ice-cream. Never have I ever eaten ice cream so smooth. The Churros were warm and they came with a small bowl of melted chocolate to dip them in. The whipped cream on top of the ice cream….need I say more. This restaurant is amazing.

Great spot. Definitely should try out the shrimp burrito.

We loved our tacos and burritos. Also dessert churros with ice cream were really good
