As locals, my wife and I were pretty excited when this place opened; there's not too many good ice cream places around. And the ice cream meets the standard of quality that you would expect from Carvel; it's the customer service that is awful. We made an order online, and when it wasn't delivered, I tried calling, whereupon the clerk yelled at me that it was taken out and that it would be at our house soon (even though it was half an hour late). He didn't even let me finish a sentence before hanging up. I would say to give those ever-more precious dollars to a place that cares for their customers a little more.
I dont like to leave poor reviews like this because the Maspeth Carvel ice cream is very good. Its overpriced. And the chinese gentleman owner is not very friendly at all. Im on vacation in Nyc visiting. He gave me and my friend a nasty look when we walked in around 7:15p 4/20/22. Borderline racist to other people of different nationalities. It's sad how he snatched the sundaes out of my hand after i asked him about the buy one get one free sundae Wednesday special. I only offered to place them back in the freezer. Just so everyone knows the sundaes in the freezer are not for that special. We bought milkshakes instead but never again will we spend our money here. Its really sad. Beware.
The ice cream itself is fine -- even good at times -- but it is so massively overpriced for what you get compared to the cost of serving yourself at home or getting soft-serve from a fast food restaurant (whose quality isn't really in a completely different universe than Carvel's) that I can't really recommend this to anyone unless they are morbidly curious.

Clean and so so friendly people. I dunno what it is about carvel. It seems as thoough they charge you alot and give you very small portions in return.
