Had a lovely girl's night at Barrio Taqueria in, and it was the perfect place to end the week. I loved the decor and the relaxed atmoshere, and there are plenty of vegan/ vegetarian options.We ordered:Cali burrito with portabello (vegan!!) - I was skeptical because I don't always love portabello mushrooms, but this was truly one of the best burritos I've had in a long time. I didn't miss the cheese at all and the salsa on the side added the perfect kick.Fuego Margarita - Perfection...not too strong, not too sweet and just the right amount of spice.Last Breath (cocktail) - This arrived literally smoking, which was fun, but don't order this unless you like a strong smokey flavor. The worst Mexican food that I had in my life. It came late, the food was not warm. There was no salsa or sour cream with a $15 burrito except two half empty packages. Everything was dry and overcooked. We got the $30 taco deal, each one was worse than the next one. Spent your hard earned money elsewhere this place is a dump.
Molotes were great, pastry was crisp and the lamb was flavorful. Paloma was strong and sweet. Avg meal price per person is $30. The waiter was nice but could have been more attentive and efficient, especially since there were only 2 other tables at the restaurant.
Absolutely love this place. Fantastuc ambience, drinks, tacos, guac, everything. The staff is also incredibly friendly; everyone has been great every time my wife and I have come. Thankfully for me, it's right around the corner. This is our spot.
Must said I love to stay local, no need to go to the city to find great food and service.Barrio Taqueria in Astoria is a great example of it.Relax and fresh concept, plenty of outdoor seating. Went there last night with my husband. We enjoyed the entire experience. The decor is bright and open, creating a lovely environment. The staff was friendly and attentive- from the hostess, the bus boys and our server, Marcos. We are big fans of Mexican food and order a large variety. We loved it all. I ate the leftovers for lunch. Definitely recommend the Barrio Birrio Quesadilla. Will for sure be going back.
We ordered the French toast and breakfast burrito for take out brunch. Both were delicious and nicely fed 3 people. Service was great as well.
This place is one of the best taco places in Astoria, the staff is awesome and the drinks are bomb! Barbacoa tacos were more than delicious! Highly recommended
I had the quesadillas with the impossible beef. It was astounding! My friends had tacos and burritos. They were quite satisfied, as well. Quality food. Worth checking this spot out. I did not have a drink but the drink menu was also quite tempting.
Service great . Food was pretty good . Drinks were on point . Do yourself a favor get the only beer they have . It's the best Mexican beer I've had . Monopolio!
