The food and service – LOUSY!Here’s my story: I stopped by this restaurant today, 8/10/22. to have dinner.I waited far too long for my food to arrive, and when the first dish arrived, still no plates on my table and no glass of water. I had to ask for plates and water.The pinakbet was over-cooked and the tinolang manok tasted so bland, there’s too much ginger in it that it was like seeping a hot lava soup.But what really made me more upset was the 20% gratuity that was automatically charged to my bill, which was more than $20. This is not right and against the law! So I complained. It’s a good thing I scrutinized my bill in detail or they would have gotten away with this highway robbery! So they re-did my bill, and in the new bill the suggested gratuity minimum was 18%. So I gave 18% tip - I tried to be generous to restaurant workers, BUT I just don’t like it when they would automatically imposed 20% gratuity, especially when they don’t deserve!The restaurant’s staff definitely needs training on hospitality, proper service and table etiquette. But what got me even more upset was when I got home, the plastic container they gave me where I put my left-over tinolang manok was leaking, there was a big hole underneath which I didn’t see because I put it in the plastic bag together with the other food. I think the waitress intentionally gave me container with the hole as her retaliation for not giving her 20% tip!. Shame, shame! I like to patronize Filipino restaurants but this one I won’t patronize ever again.

Amazing Grace is a comfort food restaurant. You want to have a good morning, try their silog menu. Lunch? Order any of their staple ulam (main dish) like kare-kare, sinigang, sisig any many more.In my case, I visited Amazing Grace for their merienda or afternoon snack. It was a hearty lugaw with lechon kawali and tofu on the side.When I tell you it hit the spot, it hit that spot. Amazing Grace also sells baked goods and let me tell you, they sell the best ube cake in Queens. Come visit this place and don’t leave without getting any of their delicious pastries!
I called and gave my order for pick up for today’s party. The lady cashier said she will call me back in 10 minutes to give me the total amount. I never heard from her so i called them several times but no one answered. When we came to pick up the trays, the guy cashier said that they have the order listed on the paper but they did not prepare the food because the lady cashier just left without telling them about it. How is that possible if they have my order posted by the computer? If they only picked up one of my 100 attempted calls, this craziness would never happened. We are very disappointed. Not only you delayed the scheduled party, you also wasted our time. Thank you for nothing.
I went with a friend to this restaurant yesterday. The food we ordered was tasty however, what I didn't like was that I was charged extra for the food then what is on the menu on their website. An additional charge was on my receipt for a drink I had not ordered but when I talked to one of the waiters he was polite and gave me a can of juice. And I got charged automatically 20% gratuity which was $10.12! What is wrong with those people, they are a rip-off!When the waiter brought me the bill and I started going through it, he distracted me by asking me how I heard about the place so I stopped reading and didn't think anything of it. After they charged everything he pretended to forget my credit card and when I got it back, it was without the receipt. Meanwhile the cashier had crumpled up the receipt and thrown it out, so when I asked for it, and got it in that state, I found it strange. They work in tandem to rip you off, I'm never going back!

We ordered for hot calamansi juice, it was served on glass. How could you expect it to be hot?? Should be served in mug.. we ordered for breakfast w/c usually comes with pandesal, but pandesal came together with all of our food after waiting for 15-20 mins. It could have been served ahead with water while waiting for the main order just like how they did it before. I ordered for a well done sunny-side-up egg and look how they did in the photo attached. Our order came after than two tables who came later than us. Ordered pancit lomi because of the vegetables that should come with it but I didn’t see any. Servers and cook need to be properly oriented. And you should not impose an automatic 20% tip to your customers bill especially if you can’t give quality service.

I used to like you guys, recommend you highly but not on my visit recently which is gonna be the last. Suddenly your quality of service and food dropped terribly. I wonder if it’s still managed by the same management when Amazing Grace newly opened. Very disappointed here.
Simple and delicious food. Nice service. Portion might to tend to be a little small but reasonable with their price. Definitely will go back for more.
