Great restaurant! Excellent service and delicious food! Cocktails were good! I love their spinach pie and calamari a lot! Everything came out really good! Highly recommend.

The food was delicious. I went there at 8:30pm to celebrate my birthday but I guess we got there late because the waiter and food runner were rushing us I couldn’t even order my dessert I got one for free that was good but I didn’t have a choice. I couldn’t order a second drink. Very disappointed with the service but I found out the owner wasn’t there he was on vacation. I guess I’ll go back when he’s around.

Amazing restaurant! The food is beyond compare. Easily the best restaurant in Forest Hills. The octopus is so fresh and delicious. Honestly everything we ordered was great. We had company from out of town and this was the place we needed them to try. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was great. The owner is a nice man who clearly takes pride in his restaurant. Definitely coming back here.

The food was quite delicious, but the ambiance was a bit of a disappointment. Photo of restaurant shown on OpenTable is misleading - it does not appear to be the same restaurant. We dined on a Thursday night when the restaurant was not very crowded, but we were sat at a table right next to the kitchen where servers were constantly passing back and forth. There were plenty of other tables they could have sat us at, where this would not have been an issue. It is not like they were very crowded at that time. Lighting was very poor and inconsistent throughout the dining room.

We went before a concert. The staff, owner and food were amazing. Highly recommend.

We had a reservation and were seated promptly when we arrived. The staff was VERY attentive throughout the meal - all seem to pitch in to make sure every table had what it needed but they did it almost invisibly. We had feta and olives, fresh bread, grilled calamari, cajun salmon pasta, salmon dinner, grape leaves, and falafel. All of our food was delicious.

Server was attentive and friendly, food was great.

ALWAYS great food. Spinach pie is good. I wish they would not serve lemon potatoes and string beans with the entrees.

We went to Agora Taverna for a pre-Mother’s Day dinner. We try to avoid the Mother’s Day crowds. The restaurant was busy but not full and we were able to get a table away from the busiest area. Service was wonderful, as always. We started with several appetizers, a selection of Greek spreads with nice warm pita bread, spinach pie, and the Villager salad. The spinach pie was the best I have ever had. For main courses we had moussaka and grilled calamari. The calamari was tender, not chewy. It is always a favorite of mine. Entrees came with string beans and the best lemon potatoes. It is worth a trip to this restaurant just for the potatoes. I have had them at other Greek restaurants and these blow the others away. I used to try to recreate them at home but it is just not possible. We were too full after all that food for dessert but we’re brought a complimentary piece of galacktoboureko. It was light and creamy and hit the spot. We definitely plan to return soon. No need to wait for a special occasion for a meal at Agora Taverna.
