I cannot recommend this spot enough. My bf and I arrived less than an hour before closing time (we were driving through NJ traffic), and the owner still made us sandwiches on the spot with a smile on his face. Mr. Oda recommended the pork and the snow crab- and omg the snow crab was chef’s kiss. We both devoured them within minutes. Will be coming back again... this time with more appetite for dessert- I was eyeing the matcha avocado icecream but was too full! Thank you so much Mr. Oda! We will be back again!
Their salmon onigiri is the best onigiri I’ve ever had ! Fresh and simple
This place is simply a gem. I don’t think the onigiris and the sushi sandwiches need elaborate descriptions; they were tasty as hell and I’m still salivating at the thought of them! Sadly I didn’t photograph the shrimp sushi sandwich I had as I was quite hungry and I had to seize the moment and the food. The owner, Oda Mitsumine, is an awesome guy. I told him I was coming for his food from mid town and was going to study abroad in Japan next Fall, and we had a great conversation. His positive energy definitely is contagious and made my day. Also please tip generously because this wonderful person is donating all of it to charity! Who does that in NY these days?Overall, perfect experience. Best onigiris I had in the city ever. 100% recommended.
One of my religiously visited plant-based options that keeps me going and never lets me down. The vegan sandwich with okra and the mango-vegetable with the fried potato are some of my favorites. I always have room for an umeboshi onigiri or a burdock root or seaweed salad. Don't ask me how I know this, but the fish is some of the best you're going to find. Don't believe me? Too bad. It's still true. The coffee is worth going out of the way for but I am currently having a love affair with the oat milk matcha latte. You will leave better than you came. The owner is a food wizard and super nice.
Excellent food, creative and just SO delicious! Oda is a gem of a person and makes great onigiri and rice sandwiches. I like the fish sandwich with hot sauce best. His sushi is also surprisingly good, especially the salmon and yellowtail. Once I ordered then realized I’d forgotten my wallet and he let me pay him the next time.
Luckily I was able to make it before the owner took the last order at 5:30pm on Sunday. The Spicy Shrimp Sandwich was very tasty. It came with avocado, carrots and lettuce. The shrimp was battered and fried. The portion of the rice was perfect, not overwhelming at all. The owner seems a very nice and kind person, donating all the tips from customers.

This place is a gem in the heart of Jackson Heights. The owner is so welcoming and hand made the onigiris in front of me, which were amazing as well.I’ll be coming back every week to try all their items. 5/5TIP: GET THE SPICY MAYO SAUCE ON THE SIDE
