Fantastic! I had the tacos. Everything is super fresh, and all the flavors pop. The tortillas are made fresh, you can see the tortilla machine from the counter. The spicy sauce that comes on the side is truly delicious. The Hispanic ladies making and serving the food are sweet and hard working. This place is a true gem. It's that classic hole in the wall where, thanks to low rent, the economics of the business skews toward amazing food rather than the compromises larger restaurants have to make to justify the value of their location. HIGHLY recommended.
We were stunned with how authentic, delicious and generously portioned Tortilleria Allison's food is! We ordered Tlayuda with barbacoa - like a pizza with crispy pork, and an absolute hit with the family. The chicken memelita was incredible. The pico de gallo is very smoky and makes the perfect contrast to the guacamole, which has avocados, onions, tomatoes and cilantro. We will definitely be back. Huge portions.
We are lucky to have a tortilleria in our area. Their tortillas are excellent. We will definitely be going here again.

Wow, the tortas (sandwiches) are so good and enought for 2 meals. The bread and cheese are perfect and with plenty of jalapenos. I chose steak which was a little on the drier side so I plan to try their Al Pastor which looks amazing.
Fresh, delicious and cheap! The best Mexican food in Poughkeepsie - in my opinion. We had carnitas and al pastor tacos, chicken quesadillas, barbacoa and menudo. All absolutely fresh and flavorful. Best part is you can order a couple of lbs of their fresh tortillas to go! A little taste of Mexico right in our neighborhood. Give it a try!
Near-perfect carnitas on fresh corn tortillas with cilantro and onions, plus a squeeze of lime and a touch of the house salsa = one of the best tacos I've had outside of Mexico or the border states. What an unexpected find. Hopefully Poughkeepsie does right by this place, I know I'll be back.
Just visited the tortilleria for the first time. Excellent and friendly service, the food was delicious and made by order. Fresh tortillas a plus. Highly recommend!
The food is fresh and delicious. They will make any of the dishes vegetarian friendly for you if needed. Very friendly staff! The cafe de olla is delicious. I love the taco salad!
I have eaten here multiple times. Not only do I love eating here but I work at the neighboring restaurant and the owner frequently comes in to say hello to us. Everything I have eaten here has been amazing. When you eat here you truly feel like a family meal is being made for you. Always a smile on the owners face. Always waves when he sees me in town. Fresh tortillas. An enormous amount of love and care put into every meal made. You really have to go to Mexico to get food like this. Don’t ever come to Poughkeepsie without stopping here. My personal favorite is the steak tacos with a pineapple or lime jaritos! Take home some tortillas while you are at it!
