I love the Tavern! The only thing better than the food & music is the exceptional wait staff!!! I'm sitting at the bar enjoying the best wings (did not raise their prices on wings even though they have tripled during this never-ending pandemic) & a generous glass of Chardonnay! This very rude patron gave Zoe a hard time. Zoe, and ALL THE STAFF could give a Ted Talk on how to treat customers. The owner should be very proud how she handled it. This place ROCKS!
Great place. ZOEY and Jesse James and the rest of the staff were great. They made us feel like family and had been here several times. The food was amazing. No complaints at all.Just FYI Parking is in the back!! We almost missed this amazing gem, because from the front it looks like an old house. Luckily there were some guys standing around outside that told us where to go. It would have been a shame to miss this place.
We had just walked across the Hudson and needed nourishment, a beverage or two and outside seating. After a quick search online, we settled on Tavern 23. It's definitely hard to locate, but worth the effort. We arrived pretty soon after they opened and found a table on the upper tier of their outside seating. It felt like we were in our own world. Service was impeccable and friendly. Within our group we tried several beers and ciders on tap - a really good selection! My burger was perfectly cooked. Those who had Reubens raved about the corned beef and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the seasoning on his calamari. We would definitely eat here again.
Really great local bar tucked away in a residential neighborhood under the Poughkeepsie walkway over the Hudson. Really competent and friendly staff in a cozy space. Food was great. Only trouble is finding the darn place. There is no sign so good luck. But it is worth the hunt. Right on Katie, Jessie Bridget and crew!
A nice casual place to hang out with friends and family. The avocado toast was light and filling at the same time. Nice beer selection and even a mimosa if you are in the mood.
First beer ordered was awful. Wrong beer was served on the second round. BURGERS WERE RAW! The whole experience felt rushed (this might explain the undercooked burger). Server seemed to be tying to wrap things up so she could leave. Really disappointing.
Great food. My husband got steak and we didn’t expect it to be THAT good. I got a Rueben it was good as well!
This hidden gem in Poughkeepsie is a amazing find. Go there today. This place has the best most creative menu I have seen in forever. They just do everything right here. The survice and staff is by far the best of the best. They have outside and indoor dining to accommodate virtually any size party and the decor is so warm and comfy. You can't go wrong here on any front. Call ahead or just stop in for an app and great glass of wine.
