Woah! What a disappoint. We came with another couple to celebrate our wedding anniversaries and couldn't have been more disappointed with the food quality. My husband ordered a $40+ plus steak medium rare and it came more than well done, nicely burnt. Our waitress handled the evening very well and immediately took the plate back and had a new steak fired. The new steak arrives and the steak is half theThickness and was well done again and was all fat. Completely inedible. The manager came over and barely resolved the meal by suggesting he comp one of our drinks that was maybe just maybe $8. How insulting! You should've taken a $40+ steak off the bill instead you gave us dessert that was hard as a brick and almost spoiled strawberries on top. Thanks for wasting our money on a night that should've been enjoyable.
This was a celebration of my wife's birthday, which the food was mediocre. This was our 1st visit. We will give them a second chance soon. Stuff zucchini flower was amazing. Stuff artichoke with breadcrumbs tasted like sand. Steak needed more flavors S & P minimum adding a sauce saved the meal.

So I felt like having some authentic Italian food for my birthday today. I was sick for about one year and really wanted to celebrate and enjoy dinner with my family. We researched, looked at yelp and spoke to an Italian friend of mine. We decided on Savona's near Vassar College...big mistake. Don't know if it's because we are black but it was the worst service I've ever received in Poughkeepsie since living here since 2014. We were seated on the West side. There was only one family already seated there, after the appetizer we waited and watched other people came and left while we were still sitting there. Never got served until we got up and asked what's wrong. Then we got the wrong salad. Then my chicken was undone. We had told them it was my birthday twice and they ignored that, yet brought cake and song Happy Birthday to the table next to us. The manager came and promised free desert. As if that would automatically compensate for everything. My folks said their fish tasted good, but my replacement shrimp scampi's pasta was still bland. So disappointed right now. If you are white you may enjoy it there. Never going back!
OMG, what a great experience!18 family members had 80th birthday for my Mother in law. We all have enjoyed Savona's meals and environment many times as individual families, today we were all impressed with the wait staff, especially Josh . Very attentive, great food, everyone left the restaurant saying the same thing. An awesome party.
One of my favorite spots in Poughkeepsie, I bring my fiancé here a lot and she loves it as well. The place has an organic feel of high end, enough to feel upscale but at the same time, probably due to its location, down to earth where you don't feel like you are dropping $40 on a plate. This is the perfect place to bring a date. The food is top quality, the service is great, and the prices are more than fair. I highly recommend the Fried Calamari and the Lobster Ravioli.
Excellent dining experience from start to finish. Nice ambience. Very delightful waiter name Josh, was very polite, charming, and attentive. Very prompt service, almost immediately upon sitting , ice water was served, followed with fresh baked, twisted, garlic bread. Yummy. I chose the Tucson chicken marsala, with roasted potatoes and string beans. I have to admit, it is one of the best chicken marsala entrees I have ever eaten in a restaurant. I also had a lemoceilo martini. Very refreshing. Dessert was also a winner. A type of chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. If in the area again, ( it was an hr away from where I live), I would definitely revisit this restaurant .

Went there for dinner. Had a delicious beer there. Food portions are always a plentiful size. Dessert was tasty. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. Bar looks real nice next time I will try and sit there
we went there and Josh took care of us... we kind of walked in at a weird time I guess and almost fell between the cracks. when Josh realized it, he came right over and took incredible care of us! his attitude and care was amazing, and the food was incredible!!!! thank you for making our lunch fabulous!
