The stuffed mushroom appetizer did not taste good, in fact it tasted bad. I had the veal parmesan - It was very dry and tasteless. The penne was cooked correctly (al dente) but the red sauce was not pleasant tasting at all. I usually don't write about places that are not very good but felt compelled because I'd hate to see people waste their money.
We were glad to see that the restaurant was packed which is good for their business. Before COVID we used to have dinner there on weekends with friends, and it was not crowded.While business looks good , unfortunately service was very slow, and it was too noisy there for conversation in the group other than with those in adjacent seats. The good thing is there wasn't music to make it worse. They were quick to take a bar order and then it went downhill from there, not only to have someone take the meal order, but to serve it too. After arriving we were still waiting 75 minutes until actual service and one of the entrees had to be returned for heating up. It was also an unacceptable wait to get someone to give us the check.This restaurant needs more wait staff and kitchen help to deal with the crowds. I gave it 3 stars only because each of the several entrees of fish, veal,chicken/eggplant were very good as was the sauces. Kudos to the chefs.

Local favorite. Pastas are good. Other dishes just ordinary. The staff acts if the are doing you a favor. Except the pasta very overpriced
Very good Italian food, some of the best on the north shore. With Italian restaurants in high volume, few do it as well (with as reasonable prices) as Pepe Rosso. Also not a stuffy haute atmosphere. Warm and welcoming. Their gnocchi is top notch and all their meats very fresh
We went here about 6 weeks ago as our first outdoor experience as a family of 4after 18 months !We were soooooooooooooooooo disappointed !!! It was dirty, the service was lousy and the food was bad. Would not recommend.
Went to dinner at Pepe Rosso 24 because a friend had recommended this restaurant. The food was outstanding. I ordered the chicken francese, which was cooked perfectly. My husband got the special. Two nights later we saw on Facebook there was a special pizza that they were offering called "Eric's thin crust." We had it delivered and this pizza really AMAZED us. Couldn't take a photo because we devoured it! Mind blowing combination of meat, cheese and sauce on a thin and lightly crispy crust.
