Three weeks ago I looked at my bank statement and found a charge from Saru which, I recognize the date but the amount was exactly ten dollars less than what my statement shows. We had picked up food for 29.73 but the amount charged was 39.73. Clearly someone there thought it's ok to tip themselves 34 percent of my check for a take out order. My husband called them to put a complaint and they sent him the receipts plus a sign that states there is a service fee. But the service fee is not what we are complaining about as that is included in the original amount. I reported to my bank.
This is a GREAT peruvian restaurant, my favorite in the area, delicious food everytime!

One of the worst beefs I ever had. The chicken is great here but the lomo…. The first time I had it I thought maybe it was a one time thing so I gave another try… the beef was so chewy!! And it always is. It’s not jus one piece but like 10 of them.

I didn't get a call from Uber since it ordered from UBER EATS.Instead they wrote inside the bag saying oh we don't have chicken.Most of you think they did the right thing. Guess what NO!!I work all day and I came home too tired to cook and hungry.I wasted my time waiting for food that wasn't there. I called them and the had the audacity to say oh but we wrote you a note on your bag. & What about my wasted time and me hungry?This is RIDICULOUS!!!Now I had to ordered my food from somewhere elseBut while I was waiting for my other food. I was eating the small appetizer which was SUPER SPICYThis isn't Peruvian food.The exaggeration of spicy level is to the roof. Is Peruvian food people not Mexican.I don't eat this level of spicy. Now I had to throw away the app to the garbage.PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM HERE IF YOU WANT A GOOD MEAL ORDER FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Saru has the best rotisserie chicken in town, my family loves their Lomo saltado and chaufa de camarones. I wish their ají Verde was a bit spicier, the staff is super friendly!
