Can't say enough good things. Modern and hip atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food is delicious! Not sure who's in the kitchen but the fusion of those flavors across every dish tells me the chef loves to play with a mix of local and beyond. My favorite are the deviled eggs, scallops and the mussels. Cocktails are yummy. The deserts. The vegetarian and mocktail options. All on point! A must stop every I visit town.
The twisted carrot was very busy, and was a bit crowded and loud due to the full tables and booths. The staff was very friendly and efficient, great attitudes. They don't have very many options for non alcoholic drinks but the ones that they do have have great taste and are better, healthier options than more common restaurants have. The food they have is very good quality and they have both vegetarian and normal options. They have a simple smaller menu and all the foods on the menus are very healthy for people. Better than all the grease and fat at other places. The decor and layout was very cozy and comfortable. Some of the smaller tables are too close to bigger tables though so I'd suggest removing some of them or changing the layout of the tables themselves. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well and air-conditioning. I would go here again and recommend it to others.
Truly one of the best places in the north country to grab a bite, or drink. Some people are just good at what they do, and the staff at Twisted Carrot take that to the next level. I've lost track of the number of times I've been and never had a bad experience. For food, I highly recommend experimenting with the appetizers, with an emphasis on the daily deviled eggs special and the moo moo dippers. Frequently, their specials are hard to pass up too as they aren't afraid to be creative, and quite frankly excel at doing so. If nothing else sounds appealing, my go-to option is the ribeye. But don't take my word for it, find out for yourself, you won't regret it!The bartender, Patrick, is an absolute legend. Consistently quality drinks that pack a punch! Even when I'm unsure what to get, I'm always met with a recommendation that never disappoints.I only called out Patrick by name, but the rest of the wait staff are just as great! Always friendly and very in tune to check in at just the right times. My one critique would be around the wait-list. Being such a high quality place to eat, it's busy a lot of the time and they only accommodate waiting outside (not so great when it's cold). If they could take a cellphone number to call or text when a table is ready so we wait someplace a bit more comfortable, that would be an extra cherry on top!10/10, can't recommend this place enough.
For the life of me, I cannot understand why this doesn’t come up as #1 on TripAdvisor for Plattsburgh restaurants because it is just that outstanding. Traveling through from Rochester, NY to St. Albans, VT on Thursday, June 2, we planned to stop at Quiche et Crêpe for lunch based on TripAdvisor reviews. It was closed. Thank goodness or we would not have found Twisted Carrot. Twisted Carrot was OUTSTANDING. Our waitress was outstanding. The food was outstanding. The ambience was outstanding. We had a bowl of the soup of the day, Mexican Street Corn. We ordered the Harvest Bread as an accompaniment as well as the Deviled Eggs of the Day. Oh, and wine. We left completely full and satisfied. Do yourselves a favor… try Twisted Carrot! We loved it so much that we will go there for lunch on our return trip on Monday.
One of my absolute favorite restaurants! Everything is always delicious and the service is great.

Awesome place, great service
Quaint setting with fresh, delectable food. Moo Moo bites (wontons made with shaved rib eye), salad and zucchini cakes were all fantastic. Top shelf liquor and unique cocktails.
Twice rather than once!We stayed in Plattsburg for a whole weekend and our first experience at this restaurant convinced us to go back... the next day! A superb culinary experience! And what about the service? A welcoming and friendly staff, a warm atmosphere, we loved it! Mullet-boy is the best, keep up the good work ;-) See you in July on our next trip!
