Friday mid morning and diner was a little busy already.First time at this location and will certainly go back.Servers are friendly and efficient. Food was good and well prepared, and prices were not bad at all. We really liked their pancakes and the apple pie (even though it was a very small slice). Coffee was fresh and tasty. Do give it a try next time you’re in Plattsburgh ??
Staff were efficient and pleasant. Meal preparation time was average. Reuben sandwich was tasty, but I expected a larger portion. Waffles were excellent but alas, no more strawberry syrup ?. Restaurant was practically empty. Makes me wonder as we arrived after attending a nearby, large school recital and many other restaurants appeared busy.
When there on good friday afternoon my first time that I cross the border since the pandemic the place was not busy but the waitress seem annoyed and even made an bored face I use to be a waitress I know it's a hard job but being a waitress it's like being an actress you have to be nice even when you don't feel like it my husband did not drink his coffe cause the cup was dirty and he though it was not a good idea to tell her and annoyed her even more anyways we did not wan to give her what she gave to us so we gave 20% tip
My breakfast was really good and most enjoyable. Coffee too. I only went out because I just didn't feel like the muss and fuss of cooking breakfast, or anything else for that matter. Won't be doing it often. And it's not the fault of Perkins. But...2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, crispy hash browns, 2 strips of bacon, 2 toast, coffee and a glass of water was $17 and change. Plus a $5 tip. And I always tip. If I can't, I don't go to a sit-down restaurant. ✌️
Seating fast waitress very friendly made sure we were satisfied food was good except bacon flimsy and thin sausage links were fine but the other sausage they must've cut it into three pieces then sliced in half but not all the way through kinda lame besides that everything else was great especially the pies.
If you want breakfast, and your companions want lunch, this is the place to go. I've never had a bad meal, poor service, and the wait staff has always been friendly and willing to take the time to explain a certain dish to you if you have a question. They are willing to make substitutions if there is something on the plate you don't care for, and seem happy to do so. My only complaint is that they don't have shrimp and grits on the regular menu. I had it once when it was a special, and it was off the chain. Love Perkins!!!!
It’s a great family restaurant and very nice staff
This place continues to get worse. The food is either undercooked or over cooked. It’s disappointing for breakfast! GO ELSEWHERE!
Had Beef Stroganoff there many times and always delicious. Last night...not so much. Noodles were dry with hardly any sauce and someone had crushed all the noodles into tiny pieces. It was as if they were feeding a 6 month old who couldn't chew. I really don't understand this. Very disappointed and will not order this again.
Thinnest pork chops I’ve ever seen!!! In what world do people want thin pork chops? Less than a 1/4” thick.Side note….1st time the waitress came to see us after the food was dropped was to ask if we needed 1 check or 2. Not great service.
