I was surprised at how good these red hots were. Had a nice heat and great flavor. Also just FYI, you can buy a pint of red hot sauce to go if you are traveling and wanted to batch your own red hots at later time. Also noteworthy, french fries with mcsweeny sauce and cheese! Take the time to stop here.
This has been a spot for my family to stop all the time. Affordable, delicious and when you can eat in great atmosphere. Wish a location in Saranac Lake would be considered because there are open restaurants.
I haven't been there in forever but I used to go here all the time growing up. I notice that they put a lot less meat on their Michigan's than they have in the past but other than that everything so face at the same except they could have definitely done a better job of cooking the fries for a little bit longer than they did. Also the girl that took our order was in a really big hurry, She didn't take the time with us that await yours but normally take and she was overwhelming herself by taking too many orders at once as I used to be a waitress and was watching her completely go crazy for nothing. I want all it was really good food except for the really greasy not so cooked fries...better luck next time. My grandmother goes here every Saturday so I'm sure there will be a next time.
We love our Mcsweeney's Michigan's. It isn't just a hot dog, it's a local classic.
First place I eat at when I arrive back in plattsburgh. Can't find a better red hot.
Called in an order last night and they said it will be ready in 5-10 minutes. Not a problem because it’s going to take me that long to get there. Got there and the waitress kept looking my way but not one would come to my car! 3 other cars came in and got their order and left. So all together it took 30 minutes to get 3 Michigan’s and of course when I got home they were not hot or the fries ?
Good Michigan's and French fries were hot and golden brown. Good service!
