We came for Mothers Day Brunch. I was very excited as I've heard great things about Irises brunch, but the entire experience was so-so. As we walked up, there was a woman sauntering with her kids taking up the entire sidewalk at a snails pace so I walked past her to check us in with the host, which offended her so she was loudly complaining about me to her disorderly children. The host couldn't find our reservation so someone helped her and we were seated, where we sat without any server for 30 minutes. Finally someone noticed us and asked the host within earshot to find us a server, and eventually a server came over very friendly and apologetic. We were starving at this point after driving an hour and a half to get to the restaurant, so we ordered everything at once. Some was delicious, some was so-so. The server took our drinks off the bill, which was nice of him. My mother in law adored the server which was a saving grace. Overall unimpressed but will try again and look forward to a better experience because I hear great things and it was a busy day for their staff.
The food was delicious, but the service was very slow. There were only a few people there, yet we waited for the server to bring our drinks, then waited to order. We came very close to leaving, especially when we saw our server just standing around talking. Once we ordered the food came in a very timely fashion. I'm afraid they lost some future customers, as this was our first visit and I think I will have trouble convincing my husband to go back.
Their attention to detail to takeout food is above reproach. My wife ordered a medium burger and I ordered a medium rare burger and they were both perfectly at the right taste when they were delivered. The lava cake is delivered with directions on how to prepare it so it is perfect when you are ready to eat it. Not cold and melted ice cream. It is perfect. Will be ordering more take out from them.
Irises is the best!! Hadn't been here in ages and we gathered to celebrate a friend's birthday. The drink list is plentiful and delicious. Went with the creamsicle and was incredibly pleased. Then we ordered truffle fries and grilled brussel sprouts. Wow! The flavors were so enticing and went down easy! We each ordered different meals. I went with the maple bacon burger and fries. The maple jam was the best balance of sweetness and smoky from bacon and beef. Best burger I've had in ages. Dessert was incredible too. Highly recommend for excellent food, wait staff, and consistency. Definitely not waiting as long as I had before to eat here again.
Irises is an area favorite for lunch/dinner. I ordered from the mid-day menu which features a wide variety of soups & salads, in house sandwich and burger creations, with a large selection of wines and cocktail creations to add to the meal. A pleasant atmosphere and wait staff makes the experience most enjoyable.
Widest selection of really good and varied vegetarian and vegan entrees. Seafood and meat is good and the Tuna Tower is a favorite of my friends. Serious wine list and a decent margarita
Placed an order via Doordash and the order was confirmed at 7:24pm with an estimated time to deliver at 8:06…It’s now 8:46 and my order was never delivered. Doordash app says complete but the order wasn’t delivered. Doordash called the restaurant and the restaurant explained that they make there own deliveries and that they are now closed. What a huge disappointment! Shame on you Irises Cafe for taking my money and reflecting as if the order is on the way.
Bad experience tonight. I know we were late. We had a 5pm and we walked in 15 minutes late. We ended up with the waitress Judy or Julie, I don’t know but we never have a good experience with her. It’s sad though because we’ve had amazing brunches at irises but we can’t seem to get a good dinner service. So we were seated, was told the dinner specials. I ordered my drink. Waited about 15 minutes for that. When she came back we ordered appetizer and food at the same time. Appetizer came about 10 minutes after we put the order, not a long wait. I did not like the appetizer but my hunny ate it. It was quite over spiced. Then we waited for our food. We were watching people who came in after us get their meals ahead of us. The couple kiddie cornered to us got their after us, received their orders before us and the gentleman even got a refired steak ahead of our orders. The people sitting behind us got their salads, drinks and food before us and were seated after us. The couple across from us got there about 20 minutes before we left got their drinks and orders with in the time they sat down and we left. Not us, our food didn’t come out until 6:36 and we got seated at 515. Over an hour. The maitre’d I feel over heard me talking to my date saying I don’t know when to say something about service or if to say something about our service. Then he came over, picked up our appetizer dishes and I sent my drink back because it was too strong for me. I then asked for water because we had sat there for so long we drank it all and shortly after that the food came out cold. I took a couple bites and ignored it. My hunny ate his. We had wanted to try the fondue for two, but at that point we just wanted to pay and go. My bill was 89.96, gave my credit card and the waitress ran it for 95 dollars and some changed. I showed the two to my hunny. I put a zero where the tip would go, signed and we left. This is such a shame. We have great brunches here, why can’t I get a decent dinner service?
Went to Irises for date night. The host was nice and the server was wonderful. I loved my salmon. So there were positives. The one star comes from the ambience. We were seated at a table by the window. The problem came from the other guests. I couldn’t hear my boyfriend over the din of the 6 people at the next table. My server even apologized as she was repeating the specials for me because I couldn’t hear her over the racket of the next table. I heard all their conversations. The older woman stood up and started singing loudly in the dining room. Then after they paid the bill I looked over just in time to see the woman hump the younger guy in the middle of the dining room. It was loud, it was chaotic and it was not what I thought a fine dining experience would be, especially when I paid $103 dollars on my meal. Horrible experience. I do not recommend.
Food was good as usual and I always love the martinis here
