The special was Halibut, it was exceptionally we cooked and we enjoyed it tremendously. Another aspect was their salad bar, WOW! Both for variety of types greens, additional options and dressings. A really great place to eat with great service.

We had a wonderful lunch of Fried Haddock sandwich, and Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Both meals came with the soup and salad bar. The fried haddock was delicious. Excellent and friendly service.

Went here for lunch and was really impressed by the menu and food. Sat outside, which was delightful. Super friendly and attentive staff. Really a very enjoyable experience. Recommend.

We ate here on a recent trip to the Adirondacks. The food was pretty good and the portions were pretty good sized. The waitstaff was attentive and took care of a very busy crowd.

Food was EXCELLENT as always.Greeter was NOT friendly or educated.I entered with my service dog (ID & credentials attached to leash). I was told I couldn't enter the establishment with a pet.I HATE WHEN FOLKS DO THAT! Ask before condemning someone! Some folks have invisible disabilities! Approach people differently, learn some people skills!

The wait staff was awesome and very attentive. The salad bar is plentiful. The beef is a good portion, and if you get early you get a discount.

Several friends and I hunt with a nearby Guide (Frontier Waterfowl Guide Service, Chazy) 1-2 times a year and staff/eat out in nearby Plattsburgh. We've eaten here on several occasions, and have always found the food and service to be very good. Very reasonable cost-wise as well.

My husband and I often travel from our home south of Albany to Montreal. In the past we frequently stop at the Butcher Block restaurant in Plattsburgh. The last two times however have been a disappointment. On a night featuring prime rib, we were told it was sold out, only to hear 5 munites later another waiter being told they were almost sold out and get the order in quickly. When my husband questioned our waitress, with no apology, she responded "I thought it was gone". Another time we were with family visiting from France and the waitress we had could not open the bottle of wine. Today on our way back from Montreal we stopped for lunch. Then headed home. After 2 hours of driving, I realized I left my wallet. I called and asked if they could overnight it to me at my expense. The person on the phone said they could not do it and the manager I would have to speak with would not be in till the next day. My wallet had my divers license, passport and credit cards. What annoyed and amazed me is that there was no way for me or anyone else to contact a manager to resolve this today. Apparently no one within that organization understands the concept of management and its responsibilities. Left with no alternative, I was forced to turn around, drive 2 hours to get my wallet then preceed to begin my 4 hour drive home again. It seems like over the years the level of service has fallen dramatically, so much so that I will not be returning here again.

The food was very good and the beer and tap was great! The bar tenders were very friendly. My only gripe is that this was the 1st time I went and I didn't realize they had a soup/salad bar. Would have easily gotten that if I was told.I will still go back here though.
