I am a frequent customer and will no longer be coming to the main event. I went a full meal without being asked if I would like more drinks or if I was enjoying my meal. They didn’t provide me with a real server and had the bartender waiting on me which I thought was strange. Nothing against the bartender I would blame management for this operational mishap. After asking for a manger Rudy came out and basically blamed me for my bad service. He was very arrogant. “Well you had a good meal didn’t you.” As a paying customer, I really don’t appreciate being talked down to by a manager. Really just a poor experience all around and I am very disappointed with Rudy and the main event. As a fellow business owner I thought it was important to bring the attention of my very poor experience by writing a review. I hope you guys see this and perform better.
I frequent the plainview main event often.My whole family loves it there. We are always happy with the food and service.I was blown away with how they handled our very large reservation on Mother’s Day no less. The manager Gina didn’t miss a beat, and the servers were very attentive and friendly.Highly recommend The Main Event!!
The food is beyond great!! Service is excellent. go early for dinner it gets crowded.
Had the shirt was under cooked and got sick
My Family and I were looking forward to go to the main events at plainview location. We sat there and ordered our meals. The service was ok nothing extraordinary . all of us get so sick with awful diarrhea and upset stomach later on. we called the place to report our illness . the person was arguing with us so defensive and not aware of the menu at the place . she then hand over the phone to another person who didn't identify himself . He was so arrogant , unprofessional and doesn't care about solving the problem or avoiding another illness. No one cares at the place. The worse place to go to . would never go back again. Unprofessional staff and awful sickening food. I wouldn't recommend that place to anyone.

The main event was awesome, cannot wait to come back! I have been to both locations and both have outstanding. Our food was delicious and cooked perfectly. My girlfriend got a burger with fries, and I got the ribs and wings. Our server Javi was right on point and took care of us in a timely and friendly fashion. We are new to the plainview area, and we are excited to return in the near future
We went to the one in Farmingdale last year and enjoyed it so last night my boyfriend and I decided to give the one in Plainview a try. We had a fantastic time and are excited to go back again! Our server was Javi and he was amazing! He was very polite and stayed on top of things so we never had to ask for anything, he was already doing it. Our dinners were cooked to perfection and were absolutely delicious. I was going to order desserts to go and someone came up to me asking if he could clear our plates and even handed me a to-go tray for what I was bringing home, so it seemed like the staff was well trained which is always great to see. A member of staff was cleaning everything from the tables to the blinds on the windows so they're very on top of making sure the restaurant is clean. This was a great first experience at the one in Plainview and we will definitely be back!
Nice casual dining spot. It's a sports bar type of place. It is suitable for families. We were accommodated pretty quickly for a party of seven on a Saturday. The food was good. The wings, and oysters were delicious. The draught beer selection is great and service was also good. Parking is available and bathroom was clean.
