Just bought my first steak sub at the Downs in Batavia. BEST STEAK SUB I HAVE EVER HAD! Highly recommended.
They've never used mayonnaise!They DO use the smallest sub rolls I've ever seen!Subs smell like Saran wrap!I know plenty people that have said Viola's is their favorite!! These are people who tried Viola's and then never tried anything else! Go figure

Violas has become one of the most inconsistent restaurants in this area. Some days the subs are amazing and taste great, other days the subs are fatty, chewy and so full of grizzle and grease. Don’t understand it as this has been happening for years. They can’t live on forever putting out hit or miss quality food and their long reputation.
Viola's is legendary for a reason!! Their steak and cheese sub is out of this world. It's the first place my out of town family wants to go when they visit. Hands down best in town!!
My lady was hyping up the subs and they were decent. I just didn't like that it was cash only.
Ordered a cold sub presented in plastic wrap on a sheet of paper and it was pretty genericNothing on the menu except for subs, small bagged chips and drinks. If I wasn't trying to support a small business a 7-11sub would have been cheaper with more options to satiate my appetite.Did not accept but had an ATM that charged a fee..Very nice staff
Wicked good food. Definitely worth the stop in. Little weird they only accept cash in 2022 but it's not a big deal.
I’ve been coming to violas since I was a kid. They have the best steak and Italian subs. My tip is to remember they only accept cash!
I LOVE Violas subs! They have truly ALWAYS been the best.Yet, can tou tell me why NO QORKER is wearing masks, from cook to cashier??? And young girl handling money and food without gloves or sanitizing hands? And laughing & talking over opened subs?In this crucial time I would hope all businesses would be respectful of their customers health!All the customers had masks on but not one si gle employee!!Where's the health inspector when you need him????
