Unique and yummy menu that featured local favorites our whole family enjoyed while we were on vacation. Really attentive and fun waiter too. Definitely recommend!

Went for lunch, not too busy. Service was very good. The panko chicken sandwich was awesome, crispy and very tasty. Comes with a big steak knife to cut in half, which you will want to do as it was huge. Took half home. The fries were excellent, onion strings good, although a little salty. Black and blue steak salad was good but inconsistent, some pieces being tender, some being very chewy. Great beer selections, only place I know that has Kilkenny on tap! Wi-Fi was appreciated

Our waitress was fun and entertaining. Gave good details on the specials and was an uplifting person after a long day! The Fries kicked butt!

Two couples, one from Dallas and us from Cleveland, up for just a day to show our Texas friends Niagara Falls. They were very awed and after a 3 1/2 drive and time to look, shop and enjoy the area - we were all ready for lunch. We stopped at the Griffon on Military Road and had an excellent lunch. Burgers were delicious and the fries were the best we’ve all had in a long time anywhere. Great local craft beers and absolutely gracious and excellent service from a lovely lady - Lexi thank you so much. Highly recommend for good food and service and local ambiance.?

My husband and I were in town visiting Niagara Falls. I found The Griffon on OpenTable and was not sorry I booked it. The food was excellent, atmosphere was nice, and the service just as good as the food. Highly recommend!

Solid experience here. Laid back spot with lengthy list of beverage options. Boasts of fifty taps. Didn’t drink any alcohol on our visit. Wide ranging menu indicative of a true Gastropub. Sweet corn fritters, bahn mi nachos, chicken and waffle sandwich, wild game burger, duck wings, etc. Our service was excellent and the young lady who helped was very personable and helpful throughout our visit. As much as we would have liked to begin with one of the interesting appetizers, just weren’t that hungry. Wife chose the shrimp po-boy with fries and after some consultation with our server (wish I’d gotten her name) chose the caprese turkey burger over the beef on weck. Server said “ if you don’t like it I’ll buy you dessert”. Decided to upgrade my side to grilled asparagus, another unique item seldom seen on a pub menu. This was an excellent choice as the asparagus was perfectly cooked, still crisp while being underdone. Seasoned with some type of herby oil this was so good. Many times when I’ve tried a turkey burger elsewhere it has been dry, dry, dry. No moisture to the patty at all. This was not the case here at all. Patty was made in house of both white and dark meat, seasoned with rosemary and garlic and cooked perfectly. So flavorful you could enjoy it easily without the Kaiser bun, oven roasted tomatoes, basil pesto, or the balsamic drizzle it came with. Oh and the fresh mozzarella added to the delicious flavor profile. I think I could eat this sandwich multiple times a week and be very happy. Unfortunately the same could not be said for my wife’s choice. The sandwich had nothing wrong with it whatsoever but for our taste it was too spicy. We are wimps in this department and it was on us to get proper info before ordering so kitchen is not to blame. The shrimp breading and sauce were just over our limit. The shrimp are hand breaded with buttermilk and cornmeal then fried. Served on a tasty baguette with a Creole remoulade, pickles, vinegar slaw, and sliced tomato. Our server came by to check on us and when we informed her of our issue, she immediately offered to get her something else, or have it remade with different sauce. Our time frame didn’t allow that and my wife worked around the spice (it was in the breading also) and still enjoyed her meal. As for dessert, though we were sure we couldn’t eat any, we listened as our server read the choices. All of which sounded delicious especially the chocolate peanut butter mouse cake (may not be exactly right but that’s what it was) made for them by a local bakery. We were told this was in nearby Lewiston and as we declined she told us a visit there was mandatory if you are a fan of baked goods. Waiting for our bill, a serving of this cake came by and it was enormous! Looked great and patron told us as much on the way out. Would return here to eat again without hesitation as it’s obvious the kitchen knows what it’s doing. As for the bakery-Village Bake Shoppe-we did go and I will be reviewing soon.

This restaurant has become dated and has not been maintained. The seat cushions are worn out to the point that there are holes in the material covering them. There was food on the chair backs and stains from liquid hitting them. The food still tastes good, but both my wife and I had intestinal distress after eating there yesterday. Makes one wonder if the owners have been spending too much time on their new restaurant in Lewiston and have let this location go with the aim of closing it after the new restaurant is opened. Also very noisy.

We were looking forward to dinner at The Griffon Gastropub. Not much is open on Sunday evening. We were disappointed in the food. I wouldn't return to this restaurant.

This was recommended to us by our tour guide and a family friend who had been here and we an see why. Our group of 8 all had really good food and the service and atmosphere was awesome.

The chicken caprese was amazing. Very friendly staff and great food. My husband is a celiac and they were able to accommodate him with gluten free pasta.
