Why anyone gave this Niagara Falls "institution" 4.5☆ is nuts. The food definitely tasted like "institution" food! Comparable to canned mushy ravioli! Sausage dry, flavorless, salad made of head lettuce and a couple of cherry tomatoes only. Service was poor quality as well. Tourists, don't believe the 4.5☆! Nasty food! Not a clean place either. Dirty spoon with crusted on food from someone else, and other utensils had spots. Gross. 2☆ is more than generous for this Niagara Falls embarrassment.

Pros: The meal began with some fresh Italian bread. We ordered salads. The rolled mozzarella was a novel touch. The ranch dressing was really good. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan for my meal. It tasted amazing and I left with enough food for the next two meals. We finished off with fried dough and an order of blueberry cheesecake to go. Our server was speedy and courteous. Our drinks stayed full. Cons: parking was a bit of a challenge. My daughter can’t eat wheat so finding an allergy friendly option was a bit of a challenge. I also wish there had been a sweet wine option, because I would have gladly taken a glass of Moscato with meal. Overall, great experience. We will definitely go back if we return to the Niagara area.

The sauce is amazing, as are Big Mike and the rest of the ownership!

Great food and portions. Best Italian restaurant in Niagara Falls.

Very accommodating for six of us from out of state. Super friendly staff. Made recommendations for my vegetarian diet. Food was absolutely delicious! All six of us enjoyed our meals. Good sized portions too. Cozy atmosphere, & clean. If ever make it back to NY, will definitely remember Michael’s… best Italian place!

My best friend came to Bufgalo to visit and while out to go to Niagra Falls, we stopped for lunch at Michael's...it was AMAZING food with GREAT prices!!!! Thanks for the good conversation with the staff and the old owner.

Visited for dinner on Thursday, April 21st.Atmosphere is dark and dated. Poor lighting in a rough looking neighborhood. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful but the positives end there. We ordered a pizza with cheese and half pepperoni. The chef made a pizza with cheese literally only on half. My wife ordered a chef's salad that only had lettuce, rolled up cheese, 3 grape tomatoes, and 2 pickles. It tasted okay but she expected more than that for a chef's salad. I ordered the Chicken Parm and there was so much deep fry oil on it, it tasted like they scooped a bunch of oil on top when it came out. Literally every cut from my fork had oil pouring out of the chicken. They also had maybe 1 tablespoon of sauce on top. The waitress was kind enough to bring out extra sauce. I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. These tasted exactly like instant potatoes. Don't recommend at all.I had higher hopes based on their reviews.

Price on their official website listed the fish dinner as $10.50. When we got ro the restaurant, we were charged $13.95 for each dinner. We purchased 7 dinners. Their official website needs updating. I would have made different choices for food.

Friday's fish fry was real good.Do not order the chicken wings though. They were freezer burnt and beyond dry.I should have saved the chicken wing idea for a pizzeria.

We ate here before crossing the border over to Canada. This restaurant had been recommended by a local. It was a busy Friday night, but the service was very good. The menu offers a large selection of dishes. We were all satisfied. It's not fancy in terms of tables and candles, and it was all booth seating. I would eat here again because I thought the value for the meal was very good. My daughter and her friend also were satisfied with their meals. Nice size portions.
