I came here to get some doughnuts and pizza. The doughnuts were alright but the pizza was absolutely disgusting. I ended up throwing the pizza away in fear that I was going to get sick. The pizza was luke warm and soggy seemed like it had been cooked hours ago. The staff also seemed like they didn’t want to be there and weren’t really friendly. I won’t be going there again. I guess I just expected more.
We stopped by here after having passed by after breakfast the previous day. It just looked like a classic donut shop. We were right! Grew up in the south where they had these type of donut shops all over town. I've had a hard time finding them in the northeast. Man did this place take me back. One bite and I was sold. We made such a mess in the car because once the smell hit us we couldn't stop. Fantastic. We ordered so much, we just tossed the bag of leftovers in the hotel room overnight. The next morning, they were still delicious. You have to get one of these and 2 of those and a dozen that over there when you're here. We just loved the place.
We were looking for a morning coffee and thought we would give a local place a try. The coffee was alright. On par with most national donut shops. I had a plain donut. Nothing fancy. The donut was okay . It was a little undercooked for my taste. It was still a little, shall we say “doughy” in the middle. This may be the regional way of making donuts, but not one I am a fan of.
Frankies doughnuts and pizza was a great choice! We stopped here for lunch and had to grab doughnuts for dessert. We got half tray of pizza and 20 wings for $27 plus we tried pizza logs. Pizza was good. Wings were a good size and price. Pizza logs were good. And the variety of doughnuts were awesome. Definitely recommend checking this place out at some point during you stay!
Love this Local Spot! The 1/2 Tray Pizza was incredible!! We loved the Wings! The Doughnuts were Amazing as well. If you want late night eats.... Frankies Got You Covered!!
Great selection, so much to choose from, Excellence Donuts, people were nice, Great prices too, I'll be stopping in there every chance I get
After four of us each ordered our breakfast sandwiches (and donuts), we waited outside at their table and chairs. When the gentleman (who had just returned in the company van with bags of rolls) later delivered the sandwiches to us, he exclaimed "Best Breakfast Sandwiches in Town!" Now, knowing he was biased and having had no other breakfast sandwiches in town, we proceeded to eat them. Again, not knowing what the competition might be (fast-food only?), it would be hard to top them! Fried egg and plenty of cheese, with or without your choice of meat, on one of those soft rolls, they were delicious!
Excellent shop with a great selection of donuts that are made on site. Friendly customer service - they made more donuts for us while we waited - peanut butter cream - yum!
Frankies was Strongly recommended and it did not disappoint! Fresh, fabulous and nostalgic. Even my teen who never eats donuts loved it! Try the coconut cream or original cruller
The four stars is for the donuts and friendly service. I went here for a half dozen donuts on an early Sat morning and was not disappointed at all. The parking lot is appropriately small since this place doesn't hold too many people. The coconut creme donuts were amazing and the red velvet donut was very good. The service was friendly. This place makes you feel like you are in a fusion 1960's diner that collided with the 1990's. Nothing fancy - a very casual, laid back feel where you can sit at the counter or a table. The lady who served me was very friensdly. They have diner type food with the exception of chicken wings and pizza which I haven't tried but I hear it is very tasty. This place could be a little cleaner and neater but nothing disgusting or dangerous. Will be back the next time I'm in the northtowns for a donut and maybe try a slice of pizza also.
