First time went the restaurant couple of days ago. Was there 8 pm. Food was horrible. While I was eating, I heard the waitress and the manager(owner) argued about someone left without paying. I paid by credit card. No copy of bill was given to me. I trusted them. When I checked my credit card statement today online, found out that I was overcharged by $10. When called several times to ask about the bill, no one picked up the phone. Reported to credit card company for fraud. I will never ever go back to the restaurant again.
Honestly they're so overpriced it's insane! I paid $12.00 for an Avocado roll...literally just Avocado and Rice. I also got a specialty roll that cost $15 which I understand but $12 for just Avocado???? It doesn't make sense ?
We arrived at 8:15 and no one else was there on a Saturday night.. we had reservations. There were 6 of us and the owner(we believe) sat us and then the cook and him had an argument. The service was horrible the cook kept coming to the table telling us to hurry because he wanted to leave. They both appeared under the influence of something. We will not return.
So disappointed! This used to be a great place, but I’ve had a really bad experience. Service was subpar, food took a very long time to come out when the restaurant was nearly empty , the waiter forgot my request for substituting soy paper and although my roll was re-done, they removed the discount from my roll and added the soy paper surcharge, charging me double the price per roll, essentially paying for their mix up. I’m baffled at the lack of customer service and regard for their client. Will not be going back.
Hilariously Incompetent Waitstaff. A lot of restaurants are having trouble finding experienced staff and apparently Akasaka is too. We were here for 2.5 hours and never received our entrees. There was only one waitstaff. We did enjoy the view and felt great sympathy for the waiter who was struggling mightily with a task he was completely unqualified for. In the end he came to us, asked how our non-existent entrees were, and asked us if we could hurry up and leave because he needed the table.
Food was excellent. However, while we were still eating we were brought the check. The server said he was leaving. OK. We were sitting outside. We got up to leave about 10 minutes later, and the restaurant was locked. We had to walk all around from the back of the building in the rain. I will not go back. You do not leave and lock out customers.
The worst sushi I have ever had. Grocery store sushi is better than what they served. The place was filthy, dishes were dirty, and service was… odd. I will never go back. For those that reviewed this as “good sushi” you need to go try some Real sushi.
Great food, service was fine, the reservation was not ready when we arrived. There was a challenge with mask wearing by the Sushi chef. The view was lovely and the atmosphere very pleasant.
Food was great and Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming. The veggie options are there if that's what You're looking for.
For starters the food is great I won’t lie there and usually the service is good but today I went and the experience was horrible. I will never go again! We get there the waitress didn’t greet us at all. We had to go grab our own menus because she didn’t bring it to us. Never even bought us water. Then we finally order and only got our one appetizer. Meanwhile there was a table between 6-8 ppl who constantly ordered and received their rolls. Plus there was a couple who came in after us who actually got hot food and received theirs before ours. The worst experience. I will never go there again they definitely lost our business!
