Delicious BEC, especially the bread. The chocolate croissant was delicious and buttery! Great coffee. Things do sell out, and they close early.
Newburgh Flour Shop is an incredible establishment. You will not find a better bacon, egg, and cheese in the Hudson Valley. Pro-tip- order it on one of their fresh baked biscuits if you wake up early and are lucky enough to snag one. The pastries are unbelievable... Truly. There is not a better bakery in the area. For holidays, I always purchase several pies and they are always delectable. Finally, the croquembouche available during the Christmas season is one of the best things available, possibly on planet Earth. If aliens invaded tomorrow, our leaders should gift them one of these and they would spare us just based on the fact, not opinion, that it is one of the best tasting things in the galaxy. Not joking. Top notch bakery no question. The hazelnut croissant is amazing. Mike the owner always makes sure we feel appreciated and his shop is the only bakery I find myself going to regularly. Check it out.Ps… if they have the mango pineapple macaron when you go there, get it. Hands down a top 3 most delicious baked good I have ever eaten.

I had read about the husband (Liberty St. Bistro) and wife (Flour Shop) culinary power couple prior to going in the shop so my expectations were very high. This is a quaint shop in a strip of Newburgh that is being revitalized, with a very friendly staff that you can see baking as you browse the wares. Being a first visit, my wife and I picked up a small array of pastries, cookies, a fresh baked bread, and a couple of gift items for out of town friends. As an avid baker, I appreciate the delicate craft taken to make the various items, all of which were very tasty. My wife really liked the twist on the traditional peanut butter cookie, as this one actually contains whole peanuts in the mix. I also purchased a cappuccino which was the best I've had in the area. If I needed a professional cake for an event this is absolutely where I would go to have it made. I look forward to trying more items on future visits.
YUMMY YUMMY YUM. I absolutely love this place. The scone is TO DIE FOR, so filling and flaky and just delicious. And the breakfast sandwich, just DELICIOUS. I highly recommend getting it on a biscuit. A 10/10 experience. I was served by Jalen, and he was an absolute gem. Not many people with that kind of customer service these days. He deserves a raise. What a find! After being turned down by a bakery in Beacon (not enough time), I found this gem on Google. The response was quick, the communication by Liz was clear, payment seamless, the bakery staff was pleasant and prompt... and the cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Not overly sweet, beautifully decorated and just as ordered for our 30th anniversary celebration. So pleased we decided to use them a week later for a 40th wedding anniversary celebration. Home run again! Will definitely use them again and refer them to friends!
2/1/22My wedding coordinator recommended Newburgh Flour Shop to me to do a cookie platter for my wedding because she has personally had good experiences. When they did answer my emails, they were very nice and informative but they repeatedly said they didn't have pricing and they will get the pricing for me. A few days went by and they emailed me saying they are still waiting to hear back from the head baker for pricing. It has been almost 3 weeks since they told me that and I haven't heard from them since. I've had to resort to booking another baker for something as simple as a cookie platter when I wanted to give a local bakery my business. If they couldn't do a cookie platter, I would have more than understood, but leaving me hanging and waiting around was not the approach. Not a good experienceUPDATE 2/2/22: They did email me back last night (not sure if they saw this review and it reminded them) but they were still very nice and informative and got me the pricing I was looking for. Very pricey. I would love to still give them a second chance in the future, but this experience has definitely left me with a bad taste. Especially for something as big as a wedding which is on a strict timeline and would give great exposure for a small business, this shouldn't have taken 3 weeks to get pricing. Again, still very nice and knowledgable people. I guess I just got them at a bad time.

A perfect demonstration that graduating from the CIA doesn't mean the food/pastries will be well made. 2-stars because the front area is newish.Small portion, poor taste, high price.
