Me and a couple of good friends were hungry and in the area so we decided to drop by Liberty Street Bistro in newburgh. We walk in and the place looks very nice, we felt bad because the place was closing soon and they only had one waitress working the bar and doing food. She was very nice and helpful even tho she was doing so much. We all ordered the steak and each of us said the same thing, WOW. It was very nice, melted in your mouth with each bite, the potatoes were awesome very tasty wish the steak portion was bigger or not cut up already but very good.

Excellent meal & overall experience last night! Love the atmosphere - looks as if someone had loads of fun shopping estate sales for very cool antique mirrors & artwork! Our martinis were perfect, and were followed by lovely olives & very tasty branzino & steak entrees. Everything was prepared perfectly & was so tasty with new & unusual flavors. I don't love it when chefs combine new things that don't work together, but this chef had the flavor combinations nailed. Thanks for a delightful evening!

without a doubt one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. the menu is carefully curated and the drinks are incredible. servers are above and beyond, and Zach, the bartender makes incredible cocktails. the owners just recently renovated their space and it's beyond gorgeous with the maximalism deep green walls and mid century style chandeliers, it's the perfect atmosphere. highly highly recommend.

Attentive & friendly staff thoroughly checked allergies, filled/refilled drink orders & requests. Duck confit croquettes were lightly fried & absolutely flavorful. Very rich & surprisingly filling. Splurge your calories on the bread & butter. Seriously. The chocolate dessert with the crema was heavenly. Very lovely view from large front windows of Washington's Headquarters & a little of the River in the distance. The waiter boxed leftovers & the contents were arranged with care. A nice, pampering friendly experience overall!

Fabulous food, wine and ambience. Great lunch and dinner and, of course, Sunday brunch. Love the cheese plate, kale salad and the squash risotto. Lots of vegetarian options. The rest of the family enjoys the steak and seafood. The ambience is unbeatable and the staff is delightful. Sit at the bar and enjoy wine and cheese or dine in the restaurant area. Highly recommend

Beautiful restaurant and fast and friendly service. The menu doesn’t have a ton of options and the mains are almost entirely sandwiches with a few salad options. The bread just fully dominates the sandwiches and in not a great way. Both types of bread we tried were super dense and didn’t have much flavor. The “Loaded Chicken Sandwich” was not loaded, it was a small portion of pretty basic chicken salad on dry bread. I did like the potatoes that came with the sandwich (for an additional $6). Brooklyn vibes and Brooklyn prices- this was an expensive lunch for what it is!

This place is awesome but the vegetarian entrees are lacking. The main vegetarian dishes on their past two menus have basically been glorified salads. Not satisfying. If they would add a vegetarian main that was satisfying (adding a protein like beans or tofu) we would be here often.

I thought the food was ambitious and creative but the flavours we're still a bit separated. The carrots I has in the carrots three ways we're tough and chewy (small thin ones). The artichoke was good. The price was a little high for what it was. Staff and ambience was really nice.

Arrived at 2:15 for a late lunch. They stop seating at 2:45. 3 pm close. Host was rude. Seemed annoyed we were there. Spicy potato appetizer was terrific. Fried artichokes were cooked well, but the sauce was bad -- mint and curry was a bad combo; odd seasoning did not work. Firecracker chicken sandwich had no fire, and was half good; the other half had cartilage running through it making it inedible. Beet and citrus salad was awful. Could not eat it. Check came without asking; host immediately turned out the lights. It would be fine if he advised we would have to be out by 3 before seating us, but this was offensive.

Great, unique menu items that were executed brilliantly. Drinks were tasty & the atmosphere was quite enjoyable. We are eager to return for another lovely meal!
