Enjoyed beautiful day in their outdoor setting. Flowers and lemon tree (though fake) gave us âlunch in gardenâ feel. Food and service was exceptional as usual! We got in early - so no crowds - we almost had the entire place to ourselvesâ¦.
First time to the Original Umberto's although we have eaten at Umberto's in Plainview and Hauppauge previously. Always enjoyed the Lasagna previously with its sliced sausage. There were no tables available for outside which was our preference but the inside had nice energy even though there were a bunch of kids at different tables. Started with a Grandma pizza and Caesar salad. The pizza was really good and big which was appropriate since it was $34. Salad was nice sized also. Since the starters were big, the 4 of us decided to share the entrees of Chicken Parm with vodka sauce, Lasagna and Baked Clams. The main portions were very small and not worth their costs, Baked Clams were meh and the Chicken parm wasnt bad.. The Lasagna was completely overcooked and dry and didn't have any sliced anything, even though we had confirmed sliced sausage with the waiter. He said two separate times he would tell the kitchen our comments but no one seemed to care at the restaurant. We wont be back.
Loved the Tortellini Bolognese, escarole, and broccoli rabe. Outdoor dining area is pretty and well ventilated with fans, so nice and comfortable on a hot summer night. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating.
Always great! The best Italian restaurant in the area for a reason! Outstanding.
Service was very subpar. Our server forgot about us and by the time he came back we had no time for dessert and coffee. But like always the food was great. Good portion sizes except for the salmon on the salad. There was barely any.
High School Graduation
Food and service was wonderful. We were able to sit outside. The staff was attentive and was able to answer our questions.
Food was late. Servers werenât paying attention when we ordered. We were given other peopleâs food. It was a pretty awful use of our evening. Will never go back. The only good thing about the evening was the kind gentleman who seated us. This was an extremely disappointing evening.
The food was excellent. We went on Fatherâs Day. The service was not great. The waiter was not overly responsive but the food made up for it.
This place is a gem. Food is always great and the staff is number 1 we love it.
