Our large family has been regularly using this bakery for years. Through the past year or so it has gradually diminished In quality and price. But this Father’s Day they literally took the cake! Picked out a fruit tart and they took it to the back to write on it. For the first time we were not shown the tart like always and was already boxed and tied. Upon opening this fruit tart, it was not the one we picked with the berries kiwis and strawberries. But a strawberry only and stale crumb. I think that’s in reprehensible to do and our large family will never go there again. Hope they enjoyed pulling the wool over our eyes and losing dedicated customers. There’s no reason to lie! You didn’t show us the cake, you did bait and switch the fruit cake.
The Tres Leche cake is out of this world. I'm not into "wet" cake. The baker infused the Tres Leche into the batter, making a moist and delicious cake. The icing was a perfect touch, not overly sweet, but light and airy. This will be on my dessert table for Easter.
This place is just about the best bakery around when it comes to all the Italian treats you can ever gather your taste buds for.The owner has a level of commitment that is a throwback to the great quality that was once an everyday standard; think the long-gone Jahn's Ice-cream Parlor or Trunz Meat Market or Danish Maid Bakery, if you happen to know the area from decades ago. He has great people working for him, too.
Small and quaint. On short notice they baked a reveal cake for me which was delicious and a lower price than the bigger bakeries. Service is friendly, pastries, cakes and pies are very tasty. Most times lately just one baker available to take orders but it just might be the covid times we find ourselves in. Would highly recommend.
Truly the worst Strawberry shortcake we have ever eaten. The cream, cake and strawberry filling all independently tasted very off. I also had personalized writing for a Birthday and my three year old would have executed it better. It’s sad because I want to support local businesses but this was unacceptable to sell.
what i ordered vs what i got. supposed to be a nice assortment and instead they gave me assorted cream puffs with 1 cannoli, 1 eclair, 1 fruit tart. i called them and the guy i spoke to said “customers call me all the time when they order the assorted pastries but i tell them that i’m giving them an assortment of CREAM in their cream puffs” ? so instead of fixing the website description or actually giving assorted pastries, they’re just being defensive lol. it’s just not what i ordered
I ordered the $25 mix pastry on Crystal plate. It was sent in a box without a crystal plate. And your description clearly states that mini cannolis is included in the mix of pastries. There are no cannolis. Or a crystal plate. When I called your store I was laughed at by your employees who are young girls. Then they told me oh we’re not laughing at you were laughing at another customers in a store. Then I spoke to a man who is not a manager and he had no idea what I was talking about. And the young girl in the background was screaming that she always makes these trays and never puts in mini cannolis, even though your description clearly states that many cannolis are included on a crystal plate and again there was no cannolis nor crystal plate. In addition here is the pic of what I received vs what the description stated.
Their breakfast sandwich on a croissant is the best anywhere. Good quality bacon in every bits, the entire crossisant filled with whatever you selected and the warm sticky yet cripsy croissant never fails to please. They have good baked goods as well but the reason I come is for their breakfast sandwiches on croissants. Their hot cocoa is made with milk so you may want to try that as well.
Tony Marzullo is a phenomenal pastry chef and baker and in his store I can always find an incredible variety of Italian traditional cookie and yummy cakes! Grazie bello
He sold me a stale cake and wouldn’t exchange it. Very disappointed will never go back
