Good home cooked food.a home in the wall, but great food. Busy take out. No AC but worth it.
Best authentic Puerto Rican food in the area!
I believe to be the best Cuchifrito in town. Great tasting food ? and good service.
I was very disappointed with the quality of food here. I would strongly suggest that you try the other restaurants in the area for authentic and delicious Puerto Rican cuisine. I visited this restaurant at mid-day when you would think that the food would be freshly made. It was not! I ordered the cubano sandwich and it was inedible. The pork was dry and tasteless and appeared to have been prepared previously, frozen and then reheated. Even the bread it was on tasted stale. I also ordered the beef stew and ended up discarding it. The meat used in the stew was very fatty and had tendons throughout it. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not go back.
I catered food for my daughters bridal shower and the pernil just was not good. I ordered 20 pounds of pernil which came in two trays. I had to throw a tray away. It had a weird smell to it and it just didn't taste right. Everyone complained about it. I also ordered 50 empanadas. They were soggy and very greasy. The beans were good and very flavorful. The potato salad was good too. The rice was bland and you needed the beans to give it flavor. I did go to the restaurant to try the pernil out before hand and it was good. I gave them two stars because I appreciated that the owner coming in on a Sunday to cook for my party.
There are quite a few good Puerto Rican Food restaurants in Middletown these days.I enjoy this little place because it has a real home style/ family feel to it.Normally I'll get the Pernil but tried the fried pork this time.Enjoyed it.Good food, kind friendly staff and reasonable prices.Eat in, take out or order delivery on Grubhub and doordash
I recently moved to the area and saw this place driving by and had lunch today and it’s definitely worth it. The mofongo was delicious, the chicharrón de pollo was like biting into butter, it just melts in your mouth. Better than what you can get in Washington Heights. The pernil was tender full of flavor and the portions are reminiscent of the early 2000’s. You will lot be disappointed.
Must for anyone in the area looking for authentic Puerto Rican food. Friendly staff you can call ahead or just wait while they prep your order. Would definitely go back again. Parking looked intimidating but actually wasn’t as bad. Prices are extremely reasonable and you get your moneys worth.
I love this place. Whenever I'm 45 minutes within the area I go to this restaurant. The rice n beans awesome Pork shoulder amazing. I'm PR, this food is so authentic.
I’m mad they closed at this very moment ? but again it’s Monday ??♀️ I absolutely love this place ; so fresh and the drinks are amazing !
